Victor Meldrew

Well, I guess it wouldn’t be me if I didn’t put something controversial on here, so, We all have a gripe, we all have a Victor Meldrew in us, Should you have the misfortune of being him, what would your gripe be, everything and anything accepted.Only criteria is that it has to be a genuine gripe, that most if not all of us have, or would agree on.
Jim.

Everything should be in the boxset, but that bit is from ‘The Worst Horror Of All’ which I believe is the last episode of series three.

Pagon01.
James, must have missed that one, I can just imagine his reaction to that.

But in all seriousness, don’t you think we ALL have a bit of Victor in us?.I certainly have.:D

It’s likely to be in the boxed set you have just ordered.

You mean we (us older than 30s) all have one foot in the grave:)

Just as a matter of interest, is there any boxed sets of Victor on DVD, anyone know?.

Oh yes, it is my most prized DVDs! It comprises seven boxes and from memory 13 discs, there are the six series and associated Xmas specials/one offs, two specials, and a revisit/ making of.
The Algarve special with Peter Cook is genius, I really couldn’t do without this boxset!

Even Richard Wilsons appearence in a Father Ted episode is brilliant.

I think we all have a ‘Meldrew gene’. But in some of us it’s a recessive gene, in others of us it’s a dominant one!
Mrs Blue 2 (as Scott calls her) calls me a VM at times. Well lots of the time. We even have a grumpy curmudgeonly fish named after VM!

Blimey it’s one of the more well known incidents, I think it was ‘The Worst Horror Of All’ episode.

Do we have VM in us? I certainly do, but don’t forget that it is he that is right and the rest of the world that is wrong!

Of course we have. That’s why we find him so funny because it means we don’t have to laugh at ourselves! He’s our surrogate. I can’t remember how we coped before the character was created. Or perhaps there was less for us to be curmudgeonly about.
