I was refering to the LCA

Now your just being silly! why do you think the LCA can defeat the F-22? do you have proof? Do you have any data at all?

Whos making the argument?, you seem to be suggesting it. How about this one, the aircraft has composites and is a small fighter so it should be classed as fifth generation and beat the F-22. Sound familar?

Ofcourse the Eurofighter has the possibility to beat the F-22 in combat and ofcourse its a 5th gen aircraft!

This is silly ofcourse the J-10 will be comparible to the F-16 it will either have israeli avionics redubed into something chinese or it will have reverese engineered tech taken from the PAF.

i love the arguments if i stick a 24inch widescreen monitor to my laptop, then obviously the processor will perform better, just as if i put pretty new displays in my plane it will fly faster, further, quicker.. hmm wait no thats the million dollar man..

I was watching the Farnborough display from my back garden – so it was hard to judge where he was in relation to the display line.

In any case, these practice displays may not be indicative of what the actual displays will be like. Often, especially at Farnborough, the Display Committee will require that certain maneouvers be modified for safety reasons.

Can you get a clear view? who else is there? i mean what planes are there?

i remember from my student days at the FCOT student village we used to be able to see all the planes land and take off, even saw some marine exercises once.

F-22 < F-35 in model number, so that means F-35 is better than F-22?

Generally speaking in plaaf ranks, J-10 is looked far more favourably than J-11.

    didnt you know?

I dont understand why the super secret chinese J-10 be then superseded in model number by the J-11’s

    why has that happened?

and American Trechary? give it a break! who has been the traitor? how many helos did the PA get to fight terror in the eastern front? how many missiles and bombs? and how many taliban are back in afghanistan fighting the NATO forces?

Who cares if it was a copy or not.. But it does seem that the US (thank god) military mind (not the scientist working in research but the idiots who decide what to research) have realised the potential of high mach missiles.

Maybe they see the need of these against a strong emergent chinese Navy, and also as answer to a non nuclear bunker buster?

And who cares if it makes the Brahmos pale in comparison? Is this missile going to fight against a Brahmos or Vice Versa on its way to oblitorate a target?

Will it make the Brahmos less capable in destroying a ship?

I am wondering if those amraams would be aimed purely at downing the indian AWACS i am sure PAF learned something in the NATO exercises

I think the Pentagon is missing a big trick with boeing and the 787, they need long range aircraft why not just have a modified version of this beast.

Boeing is in trouble with the 787 anyway they will be happy to have even more funding and the EU wont be able to complain about unfair practises because the DOD would only be funding a research program for a future strike platform just like the EU frameworks fund “research” programs.

Even as a member of the EU and a aviation fan although i want both Boeing and Airbus to coexist and compete if i had a choice it rather have the 787 fly.

You could use airline engines? Sure the bomber would not be supersonic, but that never stopped the B52 from going on… and on… and on…

why not just upgrade the B52 with GeNx engines? Update the structure make it lighter add more fuel give it more range

Very true. Russia handed over the MKI tech becouse they were desperate for money and orders, the US on the other hand can afford to tell India where to get off and based on the way recent requests for tech transfer have gone (read JSF) i think it is quite likely. 😉

Is that why the US is thinking of caving in and allowing the UK to do what they wish?
