I cant say what the characterestics of a aircraft are never even having seen it.

But why would it have problems at high velocity? the ruder is a evil! its a neccesary evil yes but still evil, getting rid of it would solve problems. and reduce weight.

Why would it have problems at differeing angle of attack?

Erm the J-10 could be based on stolen EFA blue prints. Not impossible.. or maybe DERA even helped out.. Or the Lavi influenced the EFA designers..who knows.

either way it seems strange to argue about this. Even the people who argue that its not based on the LAvi say it could be based on the F-16 either way its a evolution of a non Chinese design according to either side. which is confusing.

interesting to see if provision for internal bay is made – a big
fat JSF style body would be outcome.

tailess is not really that complex..most decent FCS on twin engined aircraft can function without a ruder if need be…And you do not need tVC for a tailess AC TVC just makes the job easier..

Getting rid of the tailfin would be a GREAT job. and would reduce a lot of drag!

cause its not heavy enough to be called a heavy and light enough to be called light.

EWS does not mean complete avionics… but just think about the nice toys India could get.. radar jamers… similar to the USN EA-6B PROWLER..

Erm cheap? lol dude i think its more of a case of light weight then cheap. It could have been put of course by winds or could have landed on a rock tilting the antenna of axis. thus causing problems..why did they use such a highly directional antena?

Kaveri will be done! have faith..

also from the earlier post it seems the Kaveri has be completely redone..

    The Kaveri engine (Mark II)

i wonder what has changed, and if their is plans to increase its thrust for the MCA.

They will still need to keep the composite scientists on the LCA for a while. They have to be their to answer any questions on repair of parts and procedures this is very important.

    what you say!

    and what they say..

Defence Research and Development Orgnaisation had entered into a jointly funded major research and development programme with the Israeli company Elbit for developing electronic warfare systems, sensor system for the light combat aircraft (LCA) as well as joint research on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV).

I think ill go with them.

no one is becoming nationalistic or defensive, the fact of the matter is that most indians here love to change the story and claim conspiracy theories when it comes to china or pakistan.

by the way, i am not a pakistani nor a chinese. I have travelled to all three countries on business trip and my company extensively deals with defense related entities in these countries.

Aviation is my interest since I have been a consultant in defense industry and that is why i take interest in Chinese, Pakistan and Indian AFs.

India has come out with some good products, dont get me wrong, but the kinda arrogance you guys have irks most people on the internet and in day-to-day dealings.

Its hard too hard for you guys to admit that China and Pakistan have progressed drastically in the field of military hardware and that is simply not acceptable to you guys, blame it on being the self proclaimed aryan race or the shock it gave you guys.

It would be interesting to see where all three of you would be in next 5 years.

who do you work for? who do you consult for?

Think about a twin barralled howitzer (excuse the spelling), firing no simulatneously but one after the other. Now that would be good! it would put the USA multiple Paladin’s ability to concentrate fire to shame! 5 shells hitting on target in succession, or 5 shells fired at different trajectories to clear a swath. no imagine two of these concentrating fire! its not such a logistical nightmare.

The barrels would not be heavy. the amo is contained in the barrels and wouldnt have problems of it rolling around or anything. for reload its a simple case of dispencing with the empty barrel and pluging in a new one!

PLUG AND PLAY HOWITZERS! wait can i copyright that term?

please check this site they manufacture stuff 🙂
