it doesnt fire one million bullets thats just a could of how much it can fire if needed with a 36 barrel configuration. the time for every reload would be dependent on the customer specification read the site.

it would be highly accurate again read the site. down load the vids.

On July 19 and 20, 2000 the company successfully completed its first major test firings on US soil at the Blossom Point Range outside Washington DC. These demonstrations were conducted with the cooperation of Australia’s Defence Science and Technology Organisation, which is the defence research and development arm of the Australian Department of Defence.

Attending the demonstrations were senior personnel from the US Department of Defense, and the US Armed Services, who witnessed the capabilities of Metal Storm technology, demonstrated by three different prototypes:

A six barrel 9mm system with an electronically variable firing rate as high as 240,000 rounds per minute. This system is a smaller version of a 36 barrel prototype which has earlier fired a burst of 180 rounds at a rate exceeding one million rounds per minute.

A 40mm testbed which fires stacked grenades at rates as high as 20,000 rpm per barrel, being developed as an area-denial system to replace anti-personnel land mines as well as a range of other strategic military and civil applications.

A totally electronic specialist police and military personalised handgun, being developed to also incorporate a less-than-lethal function.

There is increased safety with these weapons because their all-electronic features will allow only authorised users with the correct microchip to use them.

But i cant see how the 36 barrel, 10,0000 ;180 shot can be usefull.. maybe on ships ?

I read some time back one of the nice things about the electronic firing mechanism was reduction of recoil.. ( i am sorry i cant remember how it achieves this since if it explodes it recoils, in my book atleast.)

by the way, i am not a pakistani nor a chinese. I have travelled to all three countries on business trip and my company extensively deals with defense related entities in these countries.

Aviation is my interest since I have been a consultant in defense industry and that is why i take interest in Chinese, Pakistan and Indian AFs.

India has come out with some good products, dont get me wrong, but the kinda arrogance you guys have irks most people on the internet and in day-to-day dealings.

Its hard too hard for you guys to admit that China and Pakistan have progressed drastically in the field of military hardware and that is simply not acceptable to you guys, blame it on being the self proclaimed aryan race or the shock it gave you guys.
