Going by his posts Teer appears to be some one in the know who has access to classified information and is being careful at what he disclose here. It can be frustrating to other poster sbut I have learnt to accept the fact that he knows what he is talking about.
I think when they decided to hold a competiton India was also interested in the Block 50 Viper. The Super Hornet and the two heavy Euro Canards entered the late later.
Any DSCA notice?
U.S companies offer things they want to sell with USGs blessings. If they clinch the deal then only we come to the DSCA notice and all that. AEGIS is on offer to India if the IN wants it you will see the DSCA notice.
Why would I offer things to you which I cannot sell knowing that it will adversley affect my chances of selling you stuff in future.
And on the F 35 wait and see even if I take your argument for face value, the fact is that by the time the IN or the IAF(2017+) needs the F 35 the U.S would have already withdrawn from Afghanistan.
And going by the anticipated Midterm results there is every chance the next administration will be Republican.
Have you ever seen the Kitty Hawk put on sale somewhere ?
Well Lockheed has been lobbying the PAC – 3 and AEGIS for years in India if India showed any interest it would have been on order by now. They have the blessing of the U.S government (they will not be advertising stuff they cannot sell and thereby adversley affecting chances to win future contracts). The USG sanciton is a formality only 🙂
I gave you sources and you give me your claims and theories.
E-2, PAC – 3, AEGIS all on offer to India. Pakistan has leverage over the U.S but not enough to prevent weapons purchases or strategic deals with India.

AEGIS and PAC 3 mentioned there itself. And notice the Map 🙂
The Civil Nuclear deal went through despite Pakistani objection and we all know what answer Pakistan got when they asked for one.
According to this guy India should cancel the MRCA and buy F 35

The IAF chief is on record saying not signing CISMOA will not affect the IAF in anyway even if we buy US equipment. It may limit interoperability with U.S forces and their prop- secure communcations but then again I am sure Israel and others can provide us with alternatives.
I think both. India going to help launch some GLONASS satellites and to get Mil grade GLONASS. FGFA/PAK FA to be fed real time information from the satellites.
FGFA to get Military Class GLONASS feeds in real time

May be I should also rephrase my statement about the second IAC. The IAC 2 is very likely to have EMALS.
They are. Ks and KUBs will serve alongside Su-33s.
If so how will the mix be ? More Ks and less ‘heavy’ SU 33s ?
If India does buy the CVF will it go for F 35B ?
Indian deal is too small to affect wider U.S strategic interests. India is just another customer, our 10-20 billion dollars is nothing for them. They have the Saudis for example buying 60 billion worth of weapons.
The MRCA means a lot more to the Europeans than to the Americans.
