My, what a candid response! Just to pick up on one point, I generally don’t just sling accusations at people. There’s usually a fact or two to help prop it up.

Sorry, but this is right off topic but not worthy of a brand new thread……..
If I can offer an opinion, you need to chill out a bit in your posts, Danairboy. Whether you mean them to be or not, I (and several others) find most of them have an abrupt nature and you’re not likely to win any friends like that on the forum. We all need to reconsider our actions from time to time and sometimes it’s difficult to see other people’s points of view, especially when our own are so strong. As this is a forum for people with a common interest, surely we can all give our opinion in such a way that it makes the point, but doesn’t rub others up the wrong way in the process? It would be a boring forum if everyone agreed on everything, but it will become a bore also, if members leave because they no longer enjoy reading the threads because of the posts of a few. This should be an enjoyable leisure activity. Let’s enjoy it and be nice to our fellow members and bring this Commerical Aviation Forum back to its old self. We all know your opinions on the old days of gracious flying by now – honestly, we do. We all know that things have changed in the industry beyond recognition in some respects. By continually repeating these points of view, you prompt others’ knee-jerk reactions, mine included.

In my own case, I find myself having to defend the company I work for from being hauled over the hot coals that are your negative and hateful (your word) remarks about Monarch. I may even share some of your views about Monarch’s recent changes, however, these decisions have been made for good reasons and as I would like to continue to work for Monarch, I will give them my full support to help ensure we all have jobs to go to tomorrow – even if that means having to accept decisions that I don’t feel are for the best initially. So far, Monarch have proved me wrong, in time, with all the decisions I have had doubts about. We have lasted 36 years so far and may even be one of the longest established names in the UK aviation industry these days, now that the Britannia brand is on the way out. By all means have your opinions, but please present them tactfully and try to avoid head on, full-scale attacks on individuals and airlines alike. We’ll all benefit if all members can post in this manner.

    Thanks for listening (well, reading!)

I have flown Ryanair to Rome twice and had no troubles. However, in general, I certainly prefer easyJet these days out of the two of them.

Traditionally, easyJet start selling the summer seats around Christmas time. I’ve not known it to be as early as the start of November. They usually announce a bundle of routes at a time and not all at once nowadays. I usually book my seats for Easter to Scotland when they go on sale at Christmas time. Join their e-mail news thingy and you should find out by e-mail a day or two in advance.

Fantastic news for NCL. I wonder if this is the start of FR expanding from NCL in a big way? LTN/NCL would be most welcome – come on Mike, giz a LTN/NCL flight twice a day at least. C’mon – if you do, I promise to start liking your airline again 🙂 – if I get stranded in Newcastle, I don’t mind. It’s preferable to the last two abandonments in Gerona 😡 and Lubeck 😡 you gave me!! Go on, go on, go on, GO ON!!!!! :diablo:
