Why are there so many GLA v EDI debates on here? Everyone knows that there’s only one airport in Scotland – DND! 😀

Welcome aboard DC10fan. Enjoy Lisbon. It’s high up on my favourite cities list.

Thanks for the advice guys. I haven’t a clue about photography to be honest (like you hadn’t noticed?) and Allen’s suspicion of over-use of digital zoom would be spot on 😮 . I’ve emailed the original files to A330Crazy who very kindly offered to see what he could do with them. You guys on this forum are such a helpful bunch. I appreciate all advice and criticism.

I’ll keep plodding on and experimenting when I can. I’d love a good photo of Wizz Air’s new A320 departing from LTN. I’ll have a look at the irfanview website, Allen. Thanks again for the guidance.

When Gill Airways operated MME/BFS and MME/BHD (part of the silly NCL/MME/BFS/BHD single-flight-number-fiasco!), there was a steady, but small, demand for Belfast from Tees-side. I think that with the added custom that a lo-co would attract, Flybe could make a twice daily MME/BHD work.

Erm….If I have looked at the right thing, Photoshop 7.0 costs over £500!!?? I might have to retract that matter-of-fact statement of “I will invest in it”!!!

Thanks for the kind words Andrew.

These photos were all taken at LTN today. G-OZBI is the last of the 5 new A321’s that Monarch had order a few years ago. The Monarch order book is now empty I’m afraid 🙁

I may well take you up on that offer. I don’t have Photosmart, but if I can master taking the photos in the first place, I will invest in it. Thanks for the help. I was secretly hoping you’d offer me your advice!

If anyone is willing to offer advice on how to keep the quality of the photos but by saving them within the size acceptable by the forum. The BA photo is a 5 megapixel photo before I tampered with it, but I don’t think it looks particularly good on here.

I’ve got to say Andrew, that I enjoyed every one of the photos on this thread. You are clearly rather talented, as are many others photographers on this forum. I bought myself what I think is a decent camera (HP 935 – 5.3MP – 3x optical zoom) and I hope to try it out at LTN later today. However, If you don’t see any photos on here, don’t be surprised!! How did you guys get to be so good at photography? Practise, natural skill, training?

Anyway, well done again mate. I’m glad you are willing to share your work with us all.

    Dean.

I’ve always found XRY (Jerez, Spain) very peculiar, could this be a Roman one too?

I believe Málaga takes AGP from the Roman name for Málaga – however, I cannot remember what the Roman name is in full but it does have A, G and P in it in that order, if I remember that properly!

What did you do for Gill airways Dusseldwarf, Pilot?

Nah, ‘fraid not! I was just a lowly revenue accounts supervisor, now doing the same at Monarch (Scheduled). The skies are so much safer with me on the ground!

As some of you know already, I used to work for Gill Airways in Newcastle. Gill Airways used to fly NCL/DUS. I’m not the tallest of people and one day a seriously comical Geordie mate named me Duesseldwarf during a banter session! It stuck like glue!

Just this past weekend in Newcastle was I telling my mate about my user name that he so kindly gave me!

    Good post Sandy!!!!

Skyscanner is great! When you have the price, if you click on the underlined airline name, it goes to the site with the fare quote already requested (or it did with easyjet anyway!) Soopoib!
