We moved from the old Aeropark due to Airport future expansions.

The civil serial for XM575 is G-BLMC. I work with XM575 at East Midlands Aeropark (I am a volunteer), she is in a really healthy condition. 3/4 engines are in working order (although we can’t test them due to houses behind). 575 looks to have a happy future here at the Airport. It’s highly unlikely 575 will fly again. I’m just happy its on display.

I like model aircraft making. I collect 1:72nd aircraft. I have about 60 Post WW2 aircraft, and the odd WW2 aircraft or so on top of my wardrobe waiting to get built.

I will be building a model air museum when I get some room to built it. I can’t wait. 🙂

Please feel free to send a message if you want to know what aircraft are planned for my model air museum.

G-BEOZ will have a lot of work doing to it, a repaint, a clean-out etc. Also to sort out the concrete pads because the right side wheel is not on properly, we measured out the pads wrong lol and we want to extend the concrete so the wheel doesn’t sink.

Will G-APRL at Coventry have any work done to it?

We get dirt on G-BEOZ at East Midlands, but not as bad as Coventry’s. G-BEOZ is mainly clean all around apart from the tail section. I also noticed by the pics that the tires are flat. A sorry state.

Only 2 Argosy 101s left in the UK. Let’s hope they both get some attention. Well I will be starting on the Argosy at NEMA.

What has happened to the Argosy, it looks ever so dirty. I work with the other 101 Argosy at East Midlands Airport. The Sea Vixen looks a lot better now. Are there plans to add some letters on it etc.

Where is the other propellor for the Prince? Such a shame the way these 10 aircraft are being looked after 🙁

The Wessex’ wheels look like they have sunk into the ground. The Drover has no wheels. The 2 Meteor’s don’t look too bad, just need a paint job.

Is that a Viscount nose I saw next to the Andover fuselage for sale?

I spotted this Shackleton a few hours ago, also the other one parked on the grass. I also spotted a Shackleton at Swartkop Airport along with a Canberra, Hercules, and more military aircraft.

I have had Google Earth for a few weeks now and spotted a few air museums im the UK including City of Norwich Aviation Museum, East Midlands Aeropark, Duxford museum and more. They were all so clear.

Also spotted a large museum at an Airport in France, forgot the name of it.

I am from the East Midlands Aeropark volunteers association. Myself and the museum secretary are interested in the Jet Provost and DH Dove at Long Marston. I would prefer them at EMA Aeropark where they will be restored instead of being rotted at Long Marston.

Does anyone know if the JP and Dove are for sale? My museum secretary is wondering how much the Dove and JP will be worth if they were for sale.

I feel sorry for the aircraft collection there.

The Midland Air Museum’s T.11 Vampire outside is more or less complete. They do have a T.11 cockpit section in a workshop.

    I hope this helps.

I just hate seeing planes that end their days like that. Such a shame.

I am a volunteer at the Aeropark. The Vulcan hasn’t been repainted for about 12 years now but has been kept in good running condition, it won’t be running as there are houses pointing towards the engines.

I’ll add more updates next time I’m working down there.

The Meteor and Vampires are still down at the old site but should move by summer (a few weeks probably) We have the wheel pads ready for the Meteor and Vampire. The Vampire pod is going on display in the new building. The Sheriff will also go inside for restoration.

Last time I was there working, we had an old control tower truck, we had to get rid of the truck but keep the tower.
