I was up at Newark Air Museum about 4 weeks ago and a nice visit too. Was nice to hear the Canberra B(I)8 is going indoors. I’ll be going back later in the year.
Fantastic pictures by the way.

Although I am a member at NEMA Aeropark, nobody told me the Jet Provost T.3A XN500 moved to Farnborough museum. I am not sure if we will get it back or not.

The Meteor and Vampire will be displayed outside together, the SA.1 Sheriff might go on display between the Argosy and Vulcan. The Vampire pod will be displayed inside the new building which will be about 90ft long by about 30ft wide, so a large space for a workshop and a small display area for engines, and other bits. (which is planned).
Rlangham, I have sent you a PM about the Aeropark.
Hope this helps.

I am a member of the Aeropark. Here is some news:
We have a new building which should be completed by the end of this year. It will be a large workshop and a display area to house Vampire T.11 XD534 (pod only), aircraft engines etc.
Vampire T.11 XD382, Meteor TT.20 WM224 and Sheriff SA.1 G-FRJB are still down at the old site under restoration but should move across as soon as the new building is complete. We also have a few other items at the old site.
Yes the 3 Wessex helicopters do look good on display together along with the Whirlwind helicopter.
We moved to the current site during 1999-2000 and opened August 2001.
I hope this info helps.

Will the Vulcan, Lightning and Phantom move closer to the other aircraft soon?
What is the plan for the aircraft collection?
James B
There used to be a nose section of a Twin Pioneer at the Solway Aviation Museum, but has since moved.

Like the Shackleton. Is the Newark Vulcan going to stay at the air museum?

Thanx Atlantic1
I will look around for a 72nd scale Argosy.
Fantastic photos there.
I was at the Midland Air Museum today, here are updates on some of the aircraft:
Argosy – looking very dirty and needs a good paint
Iskra – looks like it is under restoration and wings being fitted soon
Harrier – sitting inside the workshop with the Huskie, JP nose and Vampire pod
Canberra – looks a lot better with the shine coming out
Sea Vixen – being repainted on the undercarrage
I beleive the museum are extending the hanger, which might bring in the other Meteor, Hunter, BP, Javelin, Gnat and others.
Does anyone know the plans for the Phantom fuselage, Vampire T.11, JP and Vampire noses Sabre F.86 rear fuselage, and the Huskie?
I also saw at the museum a 1:72 scale of an AW Argosy RAF version. I have been after a 1:72 scale model of an Argosy for years but can’t find one anywhere.

Fantastic shots there. Does anyone know what aircraft are in the new hanger now and the other aircraft are to move into the new hanger?
James B
Does anybody have any pictures of all the aircraft from the old Aeropark? I have been after some for a while now.
Thanx
James B
