Imagine you were talking to your grandfather
You: what did you do in the war, grandfather?
Grand: I executed an injured man, lad.
You: why?
Grandad: To put him out of his misery! Despite him supporting (of which he could have easily been behind of) Terrorists that believe it’s perfectly acceptable to Hi-Jack civilian airlines and fly them into World Trade Centres, Bomb Buses and the Tube killing and maiming innocent civilians, beheading innocent people on the internet, murdering and torturing their own kind for not believing their Extremist ways etc. etc. etc… I thought it was the most humane thing to do… because I didn’t want my Grandson to think I was some sort of monster leaving him to suffer!”
do you have any logical argument why iam wrong
Yes. From the moment you said: “In my opinion Mig-31 appear to be a very good 6 gen fighter.”
As you can see, you claimed in your opinion. Your opinion doesn’t mean you’re factually correct. And you do realise that those figures such as 120,000ft+ and top speed were done with a stripped down aircraft, like the F-15 (Streak Eagle) was to “determine” it’s performance figures? In reality, the aircraft doesn’t approach any where near those, of course, they’re high indeed, but you’re kidding yourself if you truly believe so.
I reckon the aircraft Mig-31BM is on about is the one Clint Eastwood stole from the Soviets…
…Otherwise, he’s living in such a state of which he’s somewhere in between being awake and unconscious.
There’s no hard feelings on what ever South Korea do decide to finally select, personally I couldn’t give a Monkey’s Rectum-Ring – I’ve got more important, more interesting things, and again, more IMPORTANT things to be interested in and concerned about in life, it was always going to be a US type that was/is going to be chosen. But what is rather pitiful is the way the South Koreans have manipulated the contenders, of course there’s always haggling a better deal but the way they’ve gone, or are going about it is just simply a mess. They’ve moved the Goal Posts countless times, introducing, dropping, then re-introducing the requirements for the contenders.
The pricing process has also been an utter sh*t tip! They harped so much about being on or under budget, they made it clear that the contender on or under it would automatically be selected and confirmed as the “winner”, regardless of the aeroplane’s abilities & capabilities, which is fair dues. LM and EADS Cassidian failed to be on budget let alone under it, Boeing came the closest, and despite the bids having to been submitted and re-submitted to DAPA dozens of times they finally got one that was under budget, Boeing… Then what happened? The South Korean puppets (muppets more like) decided to decline and move the Goal Posts once again, this time claiming that certain aircraft capabilities were now a requirement(s)… again.
If they want a particular aircraft, fair game, get on with it and just purchase the thing. But don’t make a total balls-up of going through a process and wasting so many people’s time, as well as their own and their own credibility, or lack of.
I find it astonishing how certain members are ignoring the obvious, see above, and are going on like everything is fine!
I remember all those reports coming out that the F-35 was too expensive, earlier ones had suggested that DAPA had dropped several of the requirements for the contenders, namely Stealth and certain A/G capabilities and giving way to Air Superiority, there for favouring the F-15SE (Not so “Silent”) and the Typhoon, thus the F-35 was all but out of the “competition” putting greater favour on the other two contenders, or to be more specific, the F-15… blah, blah, blah… then all of a sudden, Boeing get a nasty wake up call and would you believe it, all of those things were clearly manipulative gibberish. And that doesn’t even include DAPA’s long winded rumbling on starting and re-starting this whole thing over & over again…
And the Manipulative Award goes to… *Drum role*… DAPA!
What a dismal, pathetic excuse of a campaign.
Sry Eelightning, but do i tend to aggro ppl?
Not at all, no need to apologise too… However, I do find it odd that you take a pop at someone for calling a known journalist yet you seem rather fine with a known Troll (Sampaix/Gegene/Fonk/Dare2/DragonMaster/DragonFly and whatever other names he’s gone by) over on the Indian Defence Forum when he’s doing what he’s been banned for numerous times. I’m merely pointing it out, not looking to start a debate, but it’s rather odd…
Regarding this Kopp fella… It’s largely known he’s rather biased and somewhat, out of touch… He once stated that the RAF would be for better off with F-16s rather than Typhoons…
I’ll let that speak for itself, or for him for that matter.
Your daily insult at journalists? Who are you tobe so arrogant?
You should ask your very best friend that, (Dare2… DragonMaster… Oh it’s DragonFly now…). Apart from when a journalist meets his touched mind’s level that is, obviously.
All airframes crack, it is just a question of where/when/how. Remember that a crack is not the same thing as a structural failure. Planes fly with cracks all over the world, every day.
Takes a mental note:*
‘Do Not Fly with Hopsalot’s Airline nor rely on his Air Force!’
Just to point out, a Typhoon with six A/A missile, 2x SRAAMs and 4x MRAAMs, is considered to be a clean aircraft.
In around June this year Nat Makepeace (Typhoon test pilot) Tweeted that he went supersonic in the vertical at 6,000ft straight after take-off, spent 2 minutes beyond M1.0 and reached a top speed of 950mph at 21,000ft on that day.
In addition, he Tweeted about that take-off that it “wasn’t particularly high”…
Not a very good response, I’m afraid.
I realised that soon afterwards, it was more about summing something up rather than being a practicality. I should have added, ‘With significant modifications to HMS Ocean.’ as JDS Izumo would need also, Ski Jump etc.
BTW Haven’t heard from you in a while. So, good to see you online……even if your giving me a hard time.;)
No harm intended.
Very busy touring in the US and other places, will be back there for the second leg soon, this month.
oh, not to change the subject but considering you brought up the Flying Brick part. I think these cross-sections dispel that.
I was thinking more about flight performance of the ‘B’ variant, which isn’t that impressive to say the least – limited G for a start, not actual cross section. But, that’s another story not for this thread.
The US lost over 9,000 aircraft over Vietnam. The US and Britain lost over 40 aircraft over Iraq in the Gulf War. China would likely lose at least hundreds of aircraft over Vietnam.

Oh look, Goldust is back with us to plough the forum into oblivion…
F-35B….. Blah!
I reckon we’ve got your point with regards to this Carrier might one day operate the F-35B, Scooter. Bringing it up in just about every post you’ve posted so far on this thread doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to be a reality.
HMS Ocean could in theory, like JDS Izumo, operate with the F-35B but that ain’t never going to happen.
It’d be nice to read and learn about something other than the ‘Flying Brick’ sometime!
China’s Automatic Lunar Surface Exploring Vehicle, which is nuke battery and solar powered and radar equipped, is worth 1 million times as much as a Rolls Royce, which btw, is really a Daimler vehicle. Where’s the UK’s extra terrestrial rover? Oh right, the UK doesn’t have one. :p
You’re comparing a space vehicle with a road car, how original. Besides, the new Range Rover (an Earth car) has Radar and Sonar and is still capable of doing the weekly shop at ASDA. Figure it out, retard!
That’s a nice racist comment. This is a troll thread and the hypocrites supporting it expect only anti-Chinese comments to be accepted?
American’s make utter cr*p cars, European ones are by far more better. Does that make me Anti-American? No! Same applies to anywhere else! Get a grip.
People that show the Racist card are generally out of ideas, and touch. You’re one of them!
Westerners copied Babylonian mathematics. Oh, who’s copying who now, huh? Huh? Thought so! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Babylonian_mathematics
Awww look at you, don’t like being proved a hypocrite! You sound hurt! Did you find something with ‘Made in England’ stamped on it and noticed it was better than the rubbish you copy!
