Why are the warning decals in English?… And why is there a Radio Cassette player from an ’80s Vauxhall Astra in the cockpit?

Yeah, Its nice to just sit down with an Acoustic & just pluck away. No fart ar$eing about with pedals, leads, amp heads and upsetting next door.

Very easy fix, just a matter of simply taking the old one out and replacing it with a new one, a bit of soldering here and there. You could do it yourself if you know what to do, save yourself quite a few quid & all. What kind of Guitar is it? 🙂

The price is steep but for what it is, or made of I should say, and with it being made to order, maybe its not all that bad. *Thinking*

I was on the dole for just under 7 months before I got the job I’m doing now, which I love, after being laid off from another one I thoroughly enjoyed. Indeed, it started to get a little difficult at around the forth month I was unemployed but I got by.

Its not nice being on the dole claiming benefits but its certainly nothing to be ashamed of if you’re willing to work. Theres a small minority of people on the dole that don’t want to work because they simply can’t be ar$ed, its this small minority that paint an unpleasant picture for the large majority of people that are on the dole like them and unlike them, actualy do want to work. It certainly lowers your self-esteem & confidence when you’re looked down upon by “know it alls” (monaing tw”ts that fail to look at the bigger picture) that just think you’re on the dole to sponge – which really boils my p*ss!

    EE :

Les Paul Standard ’94 , black . She was in rather good shape , few scratches here and there mind …

    Cheers .

Lovely! I would’ve ripped your hands off with it for that price despite with a few scratches. ’90s Gibsons were a great lot, very much sought after today but it pains me to say this, you’ve gave it away. You should’ve kept that one. Just a personal opinion, I’m hard sold on the new ’13 models… they’ve gone a bit silly in my view. Give me a choice of anything upto ’09, ’12 at the very latest.

Btw, if you’re as fond of your Ibanez as I believe you are, check out the new ones thats due out! (Get yourself a seven string’er) 🙂

    Anyway…

The first Tranche 3 under assemply, fitted with CFT fittings:

Have to have a little giggle at people that have a pop at a particular aircraft for looking like another… Its like what one sees on f-16.net,

    Oh , I sold it 600 Euros . A bargain …

Sold a Les Paul for 600 Euros/£520? What model was it?

I still have My Ibanez RG 350 EX 🙂

Nice! I fitted a set of DiMarzio pickups for a customer’s a couple of weeks ago. Sounded great!

Forgot to say earlier, the RAF weren’t going to integrate Paveway II and Enhanced Paveway II on Tranche 2s, they are now going to with Paveway IV, but IIRC, not Paveway III. Paveway IV isn’t going to be integrated onto Tranche 1 units though.

    Exocet AM39 Blk2 Mod 2 is for sale .

Nah thanks, my lass wouldn’t be too happy if I came home with an Exocet… oh, right…

Sorry, poor attempt at humour. 😀 Anyway…

With Canada seeming to be requesting information on other types, including Typhoon, I’d imagine Eurofighter GmbH (or whom leads the bid on behalf, EADS would I believe… ) would propose RBS-15 since testing has been complete, bar flight tests obviously. However, Canada’s requests for anti-shipping roles doesn’t mean the selected aircraft would need a dedicated anti-ship weapon per se, but be able to engage shipping with other A/G weapons, they say.

Well , it can only gets better with time , isn ‘t it ? 🙂

Indeed, like a Gibson Les Paul… probably. 😛

What about anti-ship capability ? Do we have a weapon and a date ?

The RBS-15 has been fit checked and wind tunnel tested in full scale but not flown. Marte-ER has been fit checked at least though I’m not sure if its been wind tunnel tested. Theres no dates though.

Just as a reminder , someone can tell me what the actual armory of the Typhoon is , please ? (read any weapon who can be used now , February the 2nd 2013)

    Cheers .

In frontline operational service at the moment:
    ASRAAM
    AMRAAM
    IRS-T
    Paveway II
    Enhanced Paveway II
    1,000lb Dumb Bomb (RAF)
    27mm Mauser Cannon

    Dazzling…

I do believe paveway IV is a great weapon. Did you read about AASM devs incoming on rafale thread?

I did, this is very interesting and something well worth looking into, especially in the RSAF’s situation. If SAGEM can put this theory into practice then they’ve got an even more compelling weapon available.

Personally i have good reasons to love precise bombs (aswell as your cousin i guess). FACs are a great family (bend head and expect pilot isnt dumb).

My Uncle, former Royal Marine. Joined before The Falklands, and served there, trained to be a Sniper soon after that, and a FAC a few years later… then, and still does, moan how these very clever precision guided munitions started to get more accurate and much prefered to a few .338 rounds… Still, very interesting stories neverless, albeit very, very rare we hear them.

I’ll send to Jcook, but do you expect another rafale fanboy?

Not at all. Anyone’s welcome. Hope you manage to get registered.

Btw, i’ve seen lots of stuff about paveway IV shooting from EFT, do you have a rererence please?

The last I heard about Paveway IV drops from a Typhoon was a very short while ago. Apparantly, BAE Systems conducted end-to-end drops in December of ’12. Thats the last time I’ve heard of anything regarding this but I supsect we’ll learn more soon.

    Thanks for explaning, SpudmanWP.

It’s definately not good news for the Eurofighter that the US block integration of US weapons. That could hamper a couple of sales here & there.

Possibly. Theres a lot of European alternatives if US weapons get blocked.

    @SpudmanWP,

I’m glad that UAI will put a stop to that.

Could you elaborate further on this please, SpudmanWP?

    @Bluewings,

I hope the Typhoon gets the Hammer , it ‘s a better weapon than the Paveway .And it ‘s a European weapon

RSAF Typhoons will most certainly get Hammer. Although I’d like to see the RAF integrate Hammer too, I really don’t believe they will. Going from the most recent snippets from reports and what have you, the RAF are seeming to go for quite a different approach. From the top of my head* (regarding A/G weapons), Paveway IV then Storm Shadow with no signs of Brimstone, as it looks anyway… Seems as though they’re waiting for SPEAR which would be a compelling alternative to both Brimstone and Hammer.

Paveway IV is a great weapon though, allows the Typhoon pilot to program the weapon from the cockpit/in-flight, select a desired approach and angle of impact etc. A family member swore by it when he was FAC/Observation duties.

    @Halloweene,

yes. was registered, changed computer, lost password, talked to G777, he talked to admin, they received no confirmation mail, i didnt either etc. Complicated stuff, got lost in translation. Now i’m only looking for where is the “register” button (i know i’m french aka dumb )in order to start new account.

I see. The forum had a bit of a rough time a few weeks/months ago when it got bombarded with a shed load of spammers signing up every day, sometimes posting two or three pages worth of random topics a day. I had to think a little there when you said you can’t find the register button, this spamming nonesense we got just helped the penny drop.

Jwcook is an administrator on Starstreak and is also a member on this forum. Send him a PM, I’m sure he can help you out somehow. 🙂

No, you’ve simply failed to comprehend what was being said and that’s really not my problem but it is quite funny considering what was said was extremely basic and ever so simple to grasp yet somehow it was way beyond you.

I get it alright. But you’re blowing it way out of proportion. Just because an RAF senior showed an interest in a particular aircraft, it doesn’t mean its anything significant, it doesn’t even come close to the likes of Japan’s interest in the F-22. Theres a few images on the net of RAAF pilots taking a good look at a couple of RAF Typhoons showing very keen interest… so what, it doesn’t mean anything.
