Russia should look at the Type 55 Destroyers from China, and try to field them with thieir own set of Engines.
In time, China could buy Russian Maritime Engine for their fleet.

This makes no sense, as Russia has no issue making hulls and is in fact having engine shortages across the board right now.

It would be beneficial for the Russian side to be able to purchase Chinese components or even complete designs in some areas (especially in light of relations with sanctions), in fact they already have.

They bought Chinese engines for Pr. 21980 assault boats, project 22460 coast guard patrol boats, as well as Pr. 21631 missile corvettes.

One small problem is they managed to break down in every single one of those ship types.

Training jet. LO not required.

Ah, one of the non-combat capable ones?

RAM application is the same as combat-capable birds though? They just are not bothering upkeeping it as well?

Interesting. India buying ~220 million USD of R-27s from Russia. Last time they bought R-27s was in 2013, 400 missiles from Ukraine.

Also there was talk about another deal for 300 R-73E and 400 RVV-AE. Hopefully meaning an export version of the R-77-1, to replace the old Ukrainian stock.

Are we going to ignore the photo of the plane with the utterly non LO optical pod attached?

Why would a weapons test film pod need to be LO?

But let me guess, with all the obvious airgaps, bumps and protrusions , and even with surface waves traversing rubber-like seals, the Russians have still managed to achieve perfect continuous conductivity from front to back of the canopy. Sound credible much… Nah didn’t think so.

Can’t be worse than this brilliant display of surface quality:

I do not have any interest about indian press or other different press. There are good press and bad press same in all jobs, there are good professionals and bad professionals. But if you think Indian officials do not know exact numbers of the RCS of the Su-57 prototypes, i think you need put your feets on the earth. They know all of course, and sukhoi told what exact RCS is too. Other different thing is that you can think this leaked information to some indian press is false.

I do not know it it is false or not, nobody know 100%.

***********

For example, this is some russian press, and if i do not undestand bad, they tell RCS of the Su-30 MKI is 20 m2 and Su-57 is 0.5 m2. It is not only indian press who talked about this number, some russian press too.

1.) lol, no I don’t think Indian officials know anything about the final RCS of the Su-57. They have not had access to the plane since it has actually had RAM applied, and a state secret like that won’t be handed out willy nilly.
2.) Again, we get “unnamed” officials. Where is this source about Sukhoi telling an Indian official that the RCS is .5 m2? Indian press has been full of laughable mistakes about the program, their words are worthless.
3.) You are right, we don’t know, but even turning one’s brain on will make your .1m2 estimate laughable.

4.) LMAO are you serious? Posting a ZVEZDA TV pamphlete? You understand that is worth toilet paper right? They probably googled figures to make that diagram.

Just when I think this thread could not get more laughable, you drop that gem.

It is particularly funny to see you use the term maskirovka, without apparently being aware enough that Sukhoi is not going to EVER publicly release Su-57s actual RCS figures. You think the Russian MoD and MiCH does not practice disinformation and secrecy???

“Hi, yes i saw the patent paper un russian language. I needed translator of course. I read RCS was with Ram coating.”

Lucky for you, there are actually people who can read Russian here, not just insecure English speaking fanboys.
Go ahead and post the patent, and someone will be kind enough to correct your ignorance.

Also, Indian press told RCS is 0.5 m2 from Su-57 because Sukhoi told to Indian Officials, and they are not talkling about average, but about frontal RCS, for this Indians was not very hapñpy with stealth on Su-57.”

Can we get some specifics 😀 ?
Always entertaining to see what insight into the Su-57 the Indian press has.

Those RCS “estimates” are based on basically nothing- some open patents that study overall rough shaping, not an actually produced, tested and RCS treated airplane. Ditto for Butowski’s “estimate”. If you think they are actually posting real RCS figures of the Su-57 for public access, I have a bridge to sell you.

You would also have to wonder why they would go to great lengths to treat IRST internals with RCS and a “stealth” mode if the frontal RCS is .1-.5 meters.

TR1 Is this what you mean by the MiG-35 comment? The outer pylon is R-73, second outer pylon I believe is KAB-500x, the inner I have no idea, do you know? Judging by pointiness, I would guess it’s new AAM, but which one? Would be cool if we saw R-37 spread from MiG-31.

Yes exactly. The inner pylon is what grabbed my attention.
