Yep, it is stupid and pointless.

lol, most of the RuAF doesn’t use that paint. Pretty much only MiG-29s @ Lipetsk. That MiG-29 pic is nothing new either.
ARe the Su-35s grey? Nope.
new Su-27s? nope.
New Mig-29s? nope.
new Su-34s? Some are in the new scheme, but even they are hardly the same “professional” grey as the MiG-29s.
Yak-130? Came delivered in that scheme from the start.

Where the RuAF adopted (adopting really) more of a standard are helos, since they generally have a similar coat recently.

So from that you derive that they would have preferred the Mirage 2000 to the Su-27?

Given that the two are on the opposite spectrums of weight, I find that dubious, and well…where is the proof.

Super Frelon and Mi-8 are different stories as well, so…yeah.
In both weight, and in how many they bought/operate.
But yes, I guess if we take a glance at it, they have preferred to…”indigenize” French choppers and buy Russian helos outright. Though I think it is more usefull to look at the aircraft in question specifically, and not look at national generalizations.
