According to people I have met who are working on it, it wont meet our expectations.

Oh and before anyone asks, with the exception of the Brisfit, all the aircraft are replicas.

As far as i know the Bris fit is only being used for set dressing anyway, if you think that you are going to find anybody who has genuine WW1 A/C that they would let out to a film company for flying sequences you are sadly mistaken. The use of Replicas and large scale R/C models for this role produces excellent results and afterwards they usualy swell the ranks of the Airdisplay world. I would much rather see the use of replica’s than bad CGI, Flyboy’s is i understand using a lot of real time photography supplemented with CGI rather than the other way around. acoulpe of pics of the Irish Replica’s of the sixties attatched for interest.

Re – Pearl Harbor i loved the shot with the Zero skimming the washing line – classic image!

Re Flyboys – met one of the stunt pilots with G-ASML on Sunday, really nice chap, they’re having a ball making it i think – he comes from Old Rhinebeck or ShuttleworthWorld as they are renaming it! (Joke!)

Tomcat,Said pilot, not sure i like the word Stunt!!!, could be back at an airfield near you complete with a couple of nieuports in the not to distant future, keep ya posted!

Melve just about sums it all up, the officers mess is still there and there are some facinating pics there, some other original buildings do survive and Aerosuperbatics have there HQ in what was the Engine Sheds.
At certain times when flying in the sumer you can still see the outline of where the WW! hangars were in the grass! A chatity airshow is held there every few years. A wonderfull place but as Melve says a very private place and not open to the casual visitor

Amazing!!! at the end of the day this is there choice, its there A/cC and can do with it as they wish. Im sure in this instance this was a visiting A/C and not an exibit. If this was the only thing that you could not take a picture of, then im sorry but get a life! If you have ever been back to a Helicpoter thats been sat in the Blazing sun you can well understand the reason for this, and as for the fact that the doors can be talken off! thats not always as easy as it may seem, phsicaly an easy job yes but thee CAA over here usualy wont to have an approved writen instruction for pilots to carry out such a deed!
