Happy Birthday Matey, are you legally allowed to buy beer now???:p
Brian will be greatly missed, i type this with tears in my eyes at such a sad loss. I carnt belive i will never hear his dolced tones on the end of the phone ever again.
My thoughts are with his wife and familly, Taff and all at Breighton.
Blue skies Brian, we will miss you 🙁
Do a search on “The Blue Max” and you will find all you need. After yesterday’s events i havent got the stoumach to go through it again:(
How very sad and tragic to lose such an aircraft and its pilot on such a day.
Sincere condolences to all the family and friends.
The loss of the A/c is totaly imaterial:mad: i , as many other did lost a freind and flying college who was a loverly loverly man, and a wife lost her devoted husband. i still canot belive it:( My sincerest condolences to all, the name will be realesed in due coarse in the correct way. This has hit me hard as 37 years ago to the day my own father was killed in a similar accident:(
Please keep this civil and to the point and donot decend into amature accident investigation.
I will raise a glass tonight, RIP my freind:(
Just seen this on BBC News. Good that only a broken leg was the result.
Does anyone know which aircraft this was?

Me neither, Hic!!
Trgic news, very sad indeed, but i really feel that Head lining this as “Another Warbird Crash” is not doing anybody any favours. The Yak 52 is not a “Warbird” even if there owners like to pretend, it as probably built in the 70’s or later:mad:
All the same very sad to hear, no loss of life is good to hear about. condolences to all 🙁
But if they had then we would have had MkIX spits and P51’s so a pointless argument:rolleyes:
Could the BBMF not adopt it when it gets on in life? After all the type has fought for the country and done itself proud It would make a nice formation with the Lanc Spits and Hurricane. Then it could be flown for a whole lot longer as the rest have done.
Its good to see that as usual some have not got a grip on reality:rolleyes:
I must say after just getting back from Elvington how dissapointed i am, I know the weather is bad but how can they justify £16 per person when all that i saw flying warbird (military aircraft) wise was 2 hunters and a seafire ALL day, I dont mind paying for myself and the family to get in but surely with so much not been there (that was In the programme) why couldnt they have reduced the price alittle, Elvington was a cracking show a few years ago, whats happened? and as for saying the Vulcan was going to be there, everyone in the know knew there was no chance so why advertise it?
😡 So i take it that you knew before hand that the Vulcan was not going to be there, but you still went!! Bit like eatting your meal at a resurant and them complaining it was no good to try and get your money back. was going to go on more but i think Skybolt has covered it all. You just carnt please some people:diablo:
So its a Pup 100:) will see what we have about.
I will have a lok and see what there is at Sywell, we do have some Pup parts lying around, do you need any cowlings?
Weston Park was a Barnstormer’s Display, loverly shot of JJ and his Stearman there. happy Days:)
I see the Nipper now has 2 seats according to the News Report:eek:
TT, i will be keeping an eye on MV and PM in the hangar to make sure they stay complete;)
Are you going to fit a rear fuz?? if not fitting the cannopy is gona be a tad tricky:D
