Just out of interest, aside from the Richthofen planes, does anyone know whose colours the other five Triplanes fly in?

If you check the link in post 1 it tells you;)

Is this the one that use to be based at Southend and flown by Bernard Collins the Airport Commandant?

If so I might have a photo somewhere!

I dont know, first info on ownership i have is Declan Everall in 1968.

Forget spurious B-17s on e-bay, here’s a fully airworthy vintage aeroplane going for less than some of the bits of memorabilia.

Quick someone, bid on it before I run out of self control!! 😀

(Now awaits customary rude riposte from TT :diablo: )

NO, No, No, just cause you got the pushpack money burning a hole in your pocket!! we need a undercart for the BE2, mind you, you will probably get the who Luton for the same cost:eek: No!!!!! anyway you still have one aeroplane thats reluctant to start, got the sore arm to prove it:D so you dont need somthing with a 235 in it, cause when there hot forget it:eek:

Saw it flying at a nice and sunny Duxford today and have to admit it does look nice alhough I still prefered the Irish scheme.

The Grace Spit was up three times with a back seat passenger while I was there. Does anyone know what was going on?

Three people going for a ride in a spitfire or one person going for a ride 3 times:rolleyes:

I must dig out the video clip I had at work. Hercules conducting parachute trials at Larkhill range with the Boscombe Harvard doing what it does best – photo chase. Guess what? all you can hear on the video is the Harvard, which wasn’t in shot.
I also remember the time I was inside the Herc cargo hold wearing a headset listening to the intercomm, we were flying out to the range with the Harvard in echelo. As we turned I heard quite clearly…… the Harvard! 😮

Oh dear, missing the point or what:rolleyes:

Absolutely! If I had my way they would all be blue and yellow in U.S.Army Air Corps markings, but then you couldn’t have the lovely girls on top!!;)

Or 450 PW engine’s, cowlings, spinners, smoke systems, wheel spats, shall i go on:rolleyes: Bit of a stupid arguement really:diablo: and any way in 50 years time mayby people will be putting these aeroplanes back into their historic Team Guinot colour’s 😀

by the way i think the TR9 looks great in her new paint:)
