[QUOTE=Archer]Here is the late Paul Morgan’s G-EEMV ‘Baby Gorilla’. I’ve read somewhere that the wreckage of this aircraft is still around and might be used in a restoration project somewhere (IIRC) so I guess this possibly qualifies it for this list.

Baby Gorilla was sold to Sweeden and is currently underway to airworthiness. The airframe was not that badly damaged in the accident and im sure will grace the skies once more which i know Paul would have approved of.

It is with great disapointment that we have to announce that the Real Aircraft Co Me 109 Buchon will now not be attending Sywell Airshow on the 24th September 2006 as it has ben sold. We were informed earlier to day by RAC and we would like to thank them for letting us know as soon as they were able to do so. We are not at liberty to discuuss the sale of the Buchon as that is a private matter between RAC and the new owner.
Please keep an eye on the website for details of a replacement item that hopefuly will be sourced in due coarse.

Fascinating stuff. There is PA18 G-ARAM , my first solo machine when operated by Clacton Aero Club. It had a thump a while ago, but I imagine it is being mantled again.

    Its Getting there 🙂

Chris – landing fees on airshow day are the same (£12) but the pilot gets a free ticket to the airshow – any passengers will have to pay for their tickets though.

Contact the Tower for arrival and departure windows – IIRC its arrival before 11.00 and departure after 18.00

    TT

departures will be between 15.30 and 16.00 or after 17.30. all time local.

Photography is a hobby of mine, accordingly I have a good idea about what was used to create photographs (lens focal length, settings, sometimes even the film type) by lookign at the picture. Also I use photo editing software frequently so its pretty easy to see whats been done to these pics. Whats the problem with that?

Judging by wonderfully regular and technicolour patterns puporting to be grain structure in those pictures, I’d say someone took these at an airshow, defocussed them slightly, added a slight sepia tint and a good chunk of random noise and then wondered who would “buy” these as genuine originals. Not very convincing.

I have some original 1919 photos from Eastleigh airfield and the “ageing” evident in those pictures is very different from the amateurish attempts in those, sorry. 😀

Ever thought about getting out more 😀

Yes i think this has been touched on before but i thought the video clip was worth a mention, im not sure how true to history this is going to be but they seem to have gone to town on the A/C.

The one angle you will NOT get in a ‘flying shot’ is a rock-steady portrait of the pilot taken from three feet away, aft of the wing, but ,hey , that is exactly what they have done.

I suggest you wait and see and then comment, the above statement is far from the truth. If you take a closer look you will see more than one camera for a start!!!
