Hmmmmmmmm… how about the nose gear? 🙂
BTW, your pictures don’t show up.
Hmmm… server down… again.
I have moved the pictures to another server 🙂 Just refresh the page and they should work.
Thanks for the picture. It’s not too helpful though, I’m afraid (too low res and shallow angle). Thanks anyway 🙂
PS. That’s a sorry looking Corsair 🙁
Nice cockpit photos, Taylorman! Thanks! 🙂
Do you happen to have photos of the small panel on the top of the wing that opens when the wing folds? It has a very peculiar shape. I have followed the drawings I have but they turn out to be inaccurate in that area (and all other Corsair drawings are the same, so they’ve all be copying eachother as it just doesn’t look like that! :D).
Also do you happen to know the flight control deflections? (+/- rotation angles for rudder/ailerons/elevators/flaps)
I forgot to post this one… from a few weeks ago already:

Tonight I added cowling details and recognition lights, re-did the wingtip lights and cut in the wing fold joint. The latter I will need to redo a bit, as I am not quite happy with it.

At least I recognised it correctly as a Jungmann 😉
Minus 50 feet.
Cheat! 😀
Is that the Shuttleworth Jungmann? Must be such a fun aircraft to fly…
Apologies for not replying sooner. Sometimes I don’t seem to get reply notifications.
Ollie, I am using 3DSMAX.
Milton, many thanks for your offer to help! 🙂
Big update!

Next: the cockpit!
Thanks 🙂
Being an airshow photographer, I usually illustrate my planes as they’re seen on photographs – the the propeller blades visible but blurred. In the near future I will experiment with full prop circles as well and see how those look. Hopefully they’ll give more life to the image.
Pity… 🙁
Pity… 🙁
The XA-38 is an awesome machine 🙂 You could commission me to do one 😉
But first the Corsair… model is nearly finished now…
How is it you manage to out-do yourself with each successive work?
I keep on learning with each image I do… 😉
I got a new “tricks” on the menu which I haven’t used yet… these include proper refraction in the canopy (the Mustang really needs that!), bending props (as in the old wartime photographs – love that effect!) and fish-eye perspective. Hopefully the last feature will help it fly out of your screen! 😀
Glad you like it! 🙂
Dan, thanks for the link!
Hehe thanks guys 🙂
No, I haven’t done a Lancaster (yet?). Most work these days are commissions so I rarely get to choose my own subjects anymore. The Mustang has proven to be a very enjoyable one though, with lots of scope for different markings etc. I’ve hardly touched on that yet, mainly sticking to the 359th FG so far. But there’s a 4th FG one coming up, as well as an Israeli one and an El Salvador Cavalier Mustang (being shot down by a Honduras Corsair!).
Thanks very much guys! Glad you like it!
Merry Christmas! 🙂
Thanks very much guys! Glad you like it 🙂
Now it’s back with me to more normal subjects… Corsairs, Mustangs and Ju 88s on the menu, with a superdetailed Fw 190 A-8 later this year…
