Staying in the three tail fins department, the Manchester is also a bit of an oddball :rolleyes:

That’s pretty cool indeed, never seen anything like it (not counting the several Piper Cub stunt maniacs out there, shutting down their engine and bouncing off the grass, etc :D)

What’s the story with the La-9 anyway? It was newly restored, flown one season and then put up for sale. I’d think it’s one of the best and rarest planes of the collection!

I’m similarly puzzled about the lack of activity concerning Duxford’s Yak, but I heard that one had some serious build flaws and needed major revision – or something along those lines anyway :rolleyes:
