*Yaaaawn…* 😀 I can’t remember getting up that early for an airshow, but I sure have in the past. Getting too old for that now, hehehe
I’ll be on my way to Duxford at 8 am tomorrow morning (100mile drive) and think that’s pretty brave! :p
effectively 450 with the 300D
480mm even, as the zoom factor is 1.6
I too find the 100-300 + EOS 350D a rather clumsy combo (using it at the moment with my 100-400 being deceased) as it simply is too light.
I’ve been tempted by the 50-500mm from Sigma, but the weight is just a bit too much for comfort. Since the season is nearly over I will wait till next spring before buying a new telelens. Until then secretly hoping something new will be released… 😀
Lovely sunset pics!
UNC, I hate you more all the time. Cracking shots 😀
Amen 🙂
You are one lucky man…
Sea Vixen pic is class!
Normally I’d say the second Thunderbolt pic was terribly framed, but somehow it really works in that shot. Like it 🙂
I note the pilot elected to land with the canopy closed in this emergency.
Well spotted! 😉
Good point…
Although I’ve seen quite a few belly landing photos of service aircraft (for example Skyraider, Alpha Jet) – all on the runway (but with a fluffy foambath).
So you’re saying he simply forgot to lower the gear and… oops? 😮
That looks like a very decent belly landing indeed!
Great video, Shorty! 🙂
Hehe, I was just joking 😀
I know the T-28s were used as light attackers too – and so were the Magisters.
Just their primary role was training, but you’re absolutely right about Algeria.
Interesting link, by the way 🙂
Ah nice! I see you got a cover already… I won’t trouble you about that then 😉
T-28 were used by the French Air Force as an attack aircraft in Algeria
True true… Then the Fouga Magister is a heavy bomber! 😀
I wonder why there are hardly ever T-28s in the UK. They’re nice chubby planes.
I’m studying several hundred Lysander pics each day at the moment
Just curious… are you writing a book about it or simply making a scale model?
One of these… 😀

…or more precise, one of these?

Judging from the size and age, it’s possibly the Adaridi. Can’t find any pictures of it to confirm.
Pity I missed this! It looked like a Lysander from the start (I did a walkaround of it not too long ago), although the see-through got me confused. What a great display! 🙂
