Sadly time to move on. Thankyou to all who posted on Duxford Diary. Will join you and DCW at the “NEW” venue. Regards from Perth, Western Australia.
Dear DCW. Have been following the Duxford forum for years (got me onto this site). Somehow feel I will miss the excellent photos by yourself and others that might not re-emerge on this new but sad format. Regards from Perth, Western Australia mate
G’Day all. It’s that time of year when I put in my annual post. As always, I would like to thank all contributors for their excellent photos and the information that is shared. Have a fabulous Christmas and best wishes for 2019 from Perth, Western Australia (39C) this weekend. Send snow!
G’day litzj, My wife and I are heading to Moscow in September and Monino is high on the list of things to do. Can you please tell me what the open days are for the museum and possibly times. I’ve a couple of different versions for these. Loved the photos also. Regards, SteveJ
Have just tried to sign the petition. Unfortunately being in Perth, Western Australia, it wasn’t accepted. As a boy went to the Biggin Hill Air Fair 1968 and visited the Chapel. This isn’t progress. Regards SteveJ
G’day All, hope you don’t mind me saying on this the 100th Anniversary. To all past and present members of the Royal Air Force, Many Thanks!
G’day All, that time of year again. Would like to say thankyou to everyone for the excellent articles, photos etc. Best wishes for 2018. Don’t let the ******s mess with Duxford too much! Regards from Perth, W.A.
G’day All, truly impressive. Well done:cool:
G’Day All, Here’s to 2017. An elegant airliner to start with, wonderful. Best wishes for the year to come:cool:
G’Day All, thought I’d get in early. Many thanks to all who contribute the photos and information that goes into Duxford Diary. An enjoyable daily read. Also thanks to all whom provide time and skills to looking after the aircraft that form the whole of the Duxford scenario. Have a wonderful Xmas and best wishes for 2017 from Perth, Western Australia:cool:
G’Day all, much respect and admiration for the Barracuda’s road to recovery. Was fortunate to see the parts in progress late 2010. Will have to get back for the eventual unveiling. Regards from Perth, W.A.
G’Day All, Ive been fortunate enough to visit the museum at Hendon a few times over the years. I’ve also been fortunate to do a bit of travel around Europe, the USA and also Asia. Hendon is a standout no matter where you go. We all know money is a contentious issue wherever one goes. As long as the aircraft are safe, maintained out of weather as best is possible and new exhibits restored no-one can complain. I have nothing but the utmost respect for those involved with the museum. Regards from a hot W.A.
G’Day All. As a kid I walked past the Fairey factory in Hayes to school daily, still entrenched in the memory. Westland the same. It would be nice if an aircraft restoration company or museum in the U.K. were able to reclaim these out of use iconic aviation brand names to keep them in the public eye. Naive I’m sure. Regards from OZ:cool:
G’Day Gents. I’m so impressed by your efforts. All I can offer is my respect:cool:
G’Day All, Great photos. If anyone has any of Farnborough or Biggin Hill Air Fair 1968. My first airshows at the age of ten. Would love to see them. Regards from Perth, W.A. (39C today)
