Sukhoi has clearly disclosed its consenus opionion through test pilot interview that EF/Rafale/F-18E are inferior to latest Flanker. I am sure they are reading these magazines as Sukhoi is part of every airshow and Saturn has further said they get secret information which establishes that fighter (PAK-FA) they are working on is superior to anything developed in West.

The Su-34 is NOT and NEVER will be immune to missiles! PERIOD! END OF STORY! GET OVER IT!

Its a big strike bomber made out of metal that would be shredded by any surface to air /air to air missile on the market. It more then likely has an effective counter measure suite which will help it to defend itself from threats but nothing is 100% effective. Even the mighty F22 can be engaged and defeated in many situations. So you are saying that every radar, heat, laser and optical guided missile system on the market can’t defeat the countermeasure systems on the Su-34! It beggers belief!

Indeed a Dagger of Groupo 6 did try to engage the SHAR of Lt Cmd ‘Sharky’ Ward with guns over West Falkland in that engagement and missed. I can’t remember who it was, but it is mentioned in ‘Falklands, The Air War’.

I’m curious about the Indian MRCA competition. What comes first, selection of the GE or Eurojet engine for the Tejas or selection of the MRCA? Would selection of the Eurojet engine for the Tejas have any bearing on the MRCA chosen?
