He does, but he is very conservative, he gives a combat record more or less as many Russian webpages do, he basicly mentions a few iraqi MiG-25 losses in that war.
he has an excellent account of the very early MiG-25 operational years in the hands of Soviet pilots during the Foxbat overflights of Israel.
If one was to re do the F-16 with many new features , and change structure and add more composite to reduce weight (perhaps monolithic CFRP wings) and add the blk 60 features and inhance them to full USAF spec . Also borrow the cockpit , EOTS and higher thrust engines from the F-35 we could have a very competitive multi – role fighter . It would be probably a very costly evolution however it could make the viper the premium fighter for many airforces in the world . For all practical purposes however the F-35 is a better option for USAF and many allies that see Double digit SAMS and integrated Air defences as a major issue plaguing access to enemy air space.
A good article about the J-10 with respect the F-16, in it, it is said the J-10 is at least an equal to the F-16 and only the F-22 has overwhelming superiority over it

The design team had actually started with a chin-mounted Crusader-type intake, but it was gradually pushed further and further back to save weight until the process finally had to be halted to keep the intake ahead of the nosewheel. There are some disadvantages to such an air intake location — the mounting of the inlet underneath the fuselage is potentially dangerous to ground personnel and appears at first sight to invite foreign object damage (FOD) to the engine by the ingestion of stones and other runway debris into the intake. However, it avoids the gun gas ingestion problem, and since the nosewheel is further back, it avoids nosewheel-induced FOD. In order to save weight and complexity, the geometry of the intake was fixed.

I think the problem with his book the MiG-25 red star series is part of the pictures are easily to find on the internet and the information he wrote is not very different but i would not ask for a refund, i think the book is good i like it
US gives Australia top military technology

SYDNEY – The United States is giving Australia more access to top-secret American military technology under a new defence cooperation treaty they signed on Wednesday.
President George W. Bush and Australian Prime Minister John Howard signed a defence trade cooperation treaty “that will strengthen our already robust alliance” a White House statement said.
“Good job,” Bush said as he shook hands with Howard after the signing at Howard’s office in Sydney.
“The treaty will reduce barriers to the exchange of defence goods, services, and information between Australia and the United States, increasing interoperability and providing our forces with the most effective means to counter new threats,” the White House said.
“The treaty will also help our respective defence industries share their rich technical expertise, and increase collaboration and communication between the industries and armed forces,” it added.
Australia is a strong ally of the United States and has troops alongside US forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Australia-US military alliance is the cornerstone of Australia’s defence policy.
But Australia has long complained of US restrictions on the use, manufacture and repair of top-secret US weapons technology and information because of Washington’s concerns about keeping the information secure from espionage.
Both countries are negotiating the A$16 billion ($13 billion) sale of advanced F-35 Joint Strike Fighters, while the US recently agreed to Australia buying 24 FA-18F Super Hornet fighters for A$6.6 billion.
Australia is also buying US-built cruise missiles and airborne early warning aircraft for its air force and sophisticated radars for a new fleet of destroyers.
“I think one of the very significant things in this potential (deal) is the arranging for greater access for the Australian military, in its purchase of military hardware, to classified and secret technical information about weapons systems and operations,” US ambassador to Australia Robert McCallum told Australian television this week.
The development, he said, would allow Australian and US forces to work more closely together on joint military operations stretching from the Middle East to the Pacific.

Whatever you may think about the main ideas of the article, one thing is for sure, the supply of R-37 or KS-172 long range AAMs would definitely give any Su-30 operator the upper hand in aerial combat against Japan, Australia or the USA, especially against such targets as AWACS, J-STARS and tankers.
If Russia were to supply such missiles to China or Indonesia tomorrow (and why not, both missiles should almost be ready for service and export), what would Australia, Japan or the USA do?:confused:

AUSTRALIA-US JOINT COMMUNICATIONS FACILITY TO BE HOSTED AT GERALDTON
The Government has agreed to host a ground station for a US strategic and military satellite communications system at the Australian Defence Satellite Communication Station (ADSCS) located at Geraldton in Western Australia. The new ground station will be sited within the grounds of ADSCS but will be unrelated to the existing activities of ADSCS which will remain under separate Australian control.
The ground station will form part of the Mobile User Objective System (MUOS). MUOS, in simple terms, will be a satellite-based mobile phone network. MUOS will support US and Australian users, including deployed forces. The ground station at Geraldton will comprise three small buildings housing the electronic infrastructure, power and spares, three 18 metre satellite dishes and two smaller antenna covering an area of approximately 12,000 square metres or less than the size of two and a half rugby fields. Once complete, it will be unmanned requiring only call-out contractor maintenance support.
It will be a joint Australia – US ground station, it will not be a US military base. The facility will be hosted as all other Australian-US joint facilities – on the basis of our full knowledge and concurrence.
Final details are expected to be agreed soon between the US and Australian Defence Departments.
Other joint facilities already hosted by Australia are the Joint Defence Facility Pine Gap and the Joint Geological and Geophysical Research Station and in addition, the US has access to the Naval Communication Station Harold E Holt.

the current state of the mexican aircraft industry is still in a very early stage, despite that in Mexico some aircraft parts are built and design among them jet engine control systems, it is probable that in a time period of 15-20 years Mexico might be building its own jet aircraft and this company might be building more complex aircraft or even helicopters, will it happen who knows but it seems mexico wants to build aircraft as brazil does.

How much info is in there on the MiG-25BM?
Around one page for the MiG-25BM; if you are a MiG-25PD fan like i am, well…. the book is not the best it has few new pictures of the MiG-25P, the books is little bit more detailed what it comes to walkaround pictures, some new pictures in terms of development, combat record and operational users.
In general i am not regreting have bought it, however i am a bit disappointed when it comes to the MiG-25P, i am not saying at least for an aviation fan like i am and a MiG-25 fan like i am, that i regret have bought it, but i think the Red star MiG-25 book is just slightly better than the Aerofax MiG-25 book.
Worthed of buying it, well for a guy who likes books as you do will depend, if you like the MiG-25 a lot and you like to have any book about it well the book is worthed, but if you are an extrict reader and you want only superb books well…… i guess it might not satisfiy your taste, it is for sure not as good as the MiG-31 book.
Am i happy of have bought it? yes i am, do i think the MiG-25P section is good? well not so much, i think it needs more pictures about the MiG-25P but the book in general is worthed of being bought if you are a real fan of the MiG-25.
