A more unusual angle on a Spitfire cockpit 😉 Hot off the press – taken this morning. Any guesses on an identity? The Marks are banned, as is everyone I’ve spoken to today 😉
TE311?
Rocketeer,
Please post more if you have them!
Cheers
Paul
Thanks Rocketeer.
Should have got 434!
Btw, when was the shot of ML417 taken?
The only reason I recognised that one was because I had seen a cockpit photo of it in “Spitfire – Living Legend” which was taken at the time of it’s restoration.
Although some things have changed in when your photo was taken, the red low level fuel lights for the extra wing tanks gave it away!

No 6 ML417?

Yep. And so was AR501 but I don’t recall seeing much of it or TE566 for that matter!
WO-P I believe were the codes worn by 566 btw.

Daz,
I know it’s been fustrating waiting for this one as many people have been told it was due on xx and now it will be on the xx etc. 🙁
From what I read on the JF forums, there where a few problems and stuff that needed attention. I think they said they could have released it in time for Christmas but it would have been rushed and it made more sense to wait and get it right instead of having to issue patches for it.
Makes sense I suppose as there is nothing worse than having it full of bugs and problems! 😮
Lets just hope Feb 4th is THE release date as confirmed on their site and the wait is worth it!
Cheers

Feb 4th has now been confirmed as the release date.

Thanks for that, but it looks like Legends 2005 may be the last Airshow DVD I do!
In hope not! 🙁
Enjoyed your airshow videos over the years. 🙂
Anyway, like everyone else, I’ll extend my congrats to you over the Legends 2004 DVD.
p.s. when the P-39 lands after it’s slot, the main tyres touch and it looks as though they spark orange flashes?! can anyone tell me what this was?
I spotted this too Chris.
Still trying to workout what it was!

With millions of websites out there, you can’t remove every copy. Let it live.
I agree but the reason it was requested to be removed was because of potential problems it might cause for OFMC. 🙁

Ummm…
Thought this one had been withdrawn from the web at the request of the copyright owner?

Firebird, it is indeed great armchair sport spending other peoples cash! 😀
Steve, I agree that the Avenger is great value for money for a Warbird and does qualify as “BIG IRON”.
But I must admit if I were in Hairyplanes position, I too would be looking for something along the lines of a P40 or a P51 or any of the high performance WWII fighters really! 😎 Of course one of the late era fighters such as the LA9 & Sea Fury would be nice but too but it might be a bit tricky operating these from OW!
But heck, if I had the several million to spare, I guess I’d probably by an Avenger too!
Oh well, back to reality.

Paul
I think it was confirmed on the WIX forum IIRC.

Oh I forgot to mention….
The trouble with the Grumman version is that it can sometimes be confused with another type of Avenger!

Hairyplane
It’s been nice seeing your cash being “spent” by the forum members.
Personally I would really love to see a P40 operated from OW. 😉
It can have of course have 2 seats and should fit nicely into the OW hanger/scene. 🙂
Trouble is, I’ve a feeling they cost a bit more than a P51 though! 😮 🙁

Great Shot Avro! 🙂
Really would have loved to have seen their P38 in the flesh. 🙁

If you want to see tonight’s Anglia News…
…. I thought that those of you who have a Sky digibox and want to see the 6 O’clock Anglia news but don’t live in the region, might want to know how you can get it(and all the other ITV regions) in a few simple steps. 🙂
Some of you may have added these before but if you haven’t, then checkout the instructions here:
http://www.vowles-home.demon.co.uk/Sat/SkyITV.htm
Shame they don’t add them to the EPG like all the BBC regions. 🙁
