Are they Catholics?
I think I agree with Dazdaman. If he’s expressing dissapointment. If not, i’m dissapointed, and am wearing baggt fleecy trousers.

Superb photos – please post more! The Waalse Legion one is very interesting, and the patina of the SS one is stunning. I have always wanted, yet never bothered to buy, a German helmet. I just find the shape to be very warlike for some reason. A very effective design.
I forgot to mention, Jim entered Bergen-Belsen camp too. His descriptions of Typhoons taking off in Normandy, circling, diving to attack and landing had me struck dumb – the fighting was THAT close. As far as I know he was never in contact with 609 though. I remember that one time he was around my mums when I got back into modelling. I had done a 1:72 Tiffy and gave it to him – that had pride of place in his glass cabinet in the lounge. Something little like that. My regret is that I didn’t really see him for a while before he died. I kept meaning to go around and lend him a copy of ‘609 at War’ to read, but I was too slow about doing it. I guess we all have a story like that.

No, I haven’t got them. They went a few years after the war. If only. Yes, I know the value. Sod the SA one (though historically perhaps more desirable) the SS dagger with inscription may as well be made of 22 carat gold!
Jim Finch was his name. An NCO with the RAF Regiment, AA gunner. Did the job during the Battle, landed in Normandy a few days after the invasion attached to a Canadian Typhoon Wing (which is wheer my Typhoon interest sprung from – and he could remember parts of Golleys book, such a sthe 109 streaking down the runway guns blazing), saw Bodenplatte from the ground, became a driver, and through this job sat in on the Nuremberg trials, drove Atlee amongst others.
He died this year, and I won’t ever forget him. A treasure to know.
Thank you Kev. You too are a prince among men, as are many on here. We are in fact the Saudi Arabian Aviation Forum, thereare that many princes amongst us. And Princess Ashley and Princess Mark 9 of course. Not forgetting Flood, the Queen.
Tis a pleasure sir, tis a pleasure.

So who resprayed them, when, and how do newly applied decals affect the asking price?
I very much doubt, from that picture, that they wear the original, mint condition, paint with which they were applied from the factory. If not original finish, about £20 each tops trade, maybe £40 to a mug.
Diamonds are a girls best friend. Shows how shallow they are really. Dogs are a million times better.
