People just do Alastair. Like some people spend an enjoyable evening having some bloke cut off and sautee their nob, which they both eat, and spend the next ten hours happily bleeding to death before being jointed and cooked. Sounds to me like they both had a ball.

We live in a strange place, and in a strange time. What is of great importance to some, like you and I, is of nothing to others. Not a good thing to die for, but what can you do? I know what I’d LIKE to do, if I got the chance, a pair of steel-toed boots, a soundproof room etc, but it won’t happen. We had a normal gravestone in a cemetery near our school, years ago. Somebody ‘Bullock’. Someone thought it was funny to change it to ********. For a laugh. Nothing more. In this case, it may have been a laugh, it may have been satanism, it may have been mindless, it may have been deliberate. Who knows.

Still very, very sad though.

Went out with my cousin in Southa Africa, night fishing for sharks. He grabs them by the tail, swings them in, removes the hook with pliers, and slings them back out alive again. He’s used to it. Me and my mate went all over the place when this 6 foot goofy ******* started going mental onboard! I mean the shark btw.

Before Persil bags I used small pieces of net. Stockings would have worked too.

The net lies on the bottom. The cone is formed when you pull it up, so that crabs / prawns / lobsters / fish etc fall to the bottom with gravity and drag. If the cone isn’t loose enough, you won’t do so well.

Prawns don’t nip / bite / sting, however, if you manage to spike yourself on their nostrum (the barbed horn on the top of their head, and the main difference between a prawn and a shrinp) it can break off in your skin and seriously **** you off after a while. Crabs and lobsters can give quite a nip. Pick the crabs up from the back, and the lobsters behind the head.

I am not scared of tiger prawns or piranhas – or even any of the species of shark we have off our shores (oh yes we do!), however, on elittle nasty that sometimes comes up in the net is that ******* of the sea, the weever fish. Do not, whatever you do, let the dorsal spine prick you. That is seriously bad news. I get them out of the net without touching them, slaughter them, cut the spines off, and ditch them over the side. Nasty little things to touch they are.

6 tammy’s and a johnny is damn good going. Sometimes I would kill to do that well. The best is Gorleston pier – as soon as the tide changes you will snag up with multiples of both, plus toilet paper coating all the line below the water. Not a good idea to fish in the harbour mouth.

That’s because you waste your money on leapoard skin pants.
