Nah, that’s on the 5th November.

Good old Guy, the only man to ever enter parliament with good intentions.

4 goes, 1 crash, shrunk from 90 down to 40kb. But of course it’s ‘going to be fixed wither the server upgrade’ isn’t it.

Oh, and my dad’s boss (my dad is a brickie now, having retired from being a bank manager and deciding to earn a ‘real’ wage working for his mate, the village builder, a couple of days a week for fun) gave me a film to develop yesterday with Janie, the Harvard and the Auster on it, up at Seething a while back. Funny that. Well, maybe not, but hey.

Yeah, looked a familiar sight….. I had a flick through while waiting for my cod to be cooked next door!

Yes, just ‘driving around’ he was! LOL.

At Legends this year he was present for the presentation of the Belgian Croix de Guerre to Roland Beamonts family, and was thus with 609 ‘crowd’ for the day. Anyway, the majority of pilots were signing, others milling around, and the rest of the families / friends etc were out the back of the tent milling around. Now, as I knew he was coming, I had read his book and was reasonably familiar with his story – and certainly aware of who he was and what he’d done. So, I went and said hello and mentioned the book (he was on his own at the time as not many people knew who he was – and the ones that did weren’t there at the time) and his eyes lit up. We chatted for at least ten minutes, and I found him very pleasant. Alas, I cannot recall the conversation though – it was just a general chat as such. Nice chap in my limited experience. I wish i’d had my copy of ‘Flight to Freedom’ with me to ask him to sign it as it is now a bit more meaningful to me – having met him in the flesh.

‘Open house’ – means the door is open to any visitors.

Twink, I would guess, means ‘some guy’ or someone, from the Fed (presumably FBI).

Just come across another print at work that you can have. Will put it with the magazines and bring over as and when.

“Snapper–, you saw the engine runs? I dont’ remember you being there….”

I only saw it once. There was also an open day at the museum from memory. That’s the time I took the pix I gave Chris last week (they were just spares I came across – nothing brilliant, but I was having a clearout). I seem to recall your grandad was there – he was saying about scrapping aircraft just after the war, and the irony of now watching Maurice going to such lengths to try and get bits! I think it was your grandad anyway, I may be wrong – perhaps it was the farmer. Whatever, long time ago now for my decrepit old feeble mind!

Anywya, so there I was, feeling all privileged and gooey, as the engines opened up, the grass lies flat, and I nearly got blown over. It’s drizzling, it’s windy, and it’s dull and freezing. LOVELY!

Apparently tonight Germaine Greer will get her revenge by flying low and looping the loop over Duxford.

Alright Hand, I’ll dunk some apples.

Can we burn witches? I have a sister-in-law who I am happy to provide.
