Alright Hand, I’ll dunk some apples.

Can we burn witches? I have a sister-in-law who I am happy to provide.

Funny you should say that Ian – my dad said he was proud of me when I did the memroial in July. The first time I can remember too. And it was only after being there that my wife realised how important all this time I spend on 609 is – and she was proud too.

    Janie and AR213.

Janie because she’s local and I saw her doing engine tests before she first flew again, and AR213 because a very good friend used to work on her during the war.

If only I’d had my camera on Saturday.

    “Run their license and registration”

I reckon it’s ‘ check their driving licence and vehicle registration’ in the way that the Police would do. Does this fit the context?

The passage is from the Gettysburg Address.

He’s got a point you know. He has made very valid points about us ****heads, and his right to call us as such and speak about it on here. I am in full support of his stand. And you bunch of cretins are doing what, exactly? Flaming him! Now stop that at once.

Oh, and I am being serious here btw. Rappens has as much right to his view as anyone, and that does NOT make him sad.

Ah yes, I realise that! However, this was a most common bit of swearing amongst teenage boys who liked to read Sven Hassel books when I was around 13-14. Good old Sven taught us to swear in many languages – which our teachers were, of course, unable to translate. Most enjoyable times were had by all!

The Sex Pistols won a court case in the 70’s regarding the word ******** (Never Mind The ******** LP). It is NOT a swear word, rather an ecclesiastical term from way back.

You may be interested in the ‘Viz’ magazine ‘profanisaurus’ too. It has many new profanities, including such delights as ‘Fanny Batter’ which is not something to fry cod in!
