” for a certain Mustang (I wonder when she will feature in FlyPast again)”

Dunno, when’s it come out next?!

    Israel. Spit’s and Mustangs.

    Burma. Spit’s.

    India. Bf109. Maybe, Maybe not!

Might it be worth contacting Mike Donnet? EN830 is in regular touch with him.

Fascinated by the bodies story Allan – you’d think there would be just a tad more respect, wouldn’t you. It’s actually all very distasteful.

An orange badge does NOT give you carte blanche to park on double yellow lines. They are there for safety reasons. You WILL be fined.

(However, I feel that specific disabled bays, in sufficient quantity, should be provided in areas that merit them, and in prime locations).

You see Damien, it’s very simple. Once the miniscule amount of finger acid has taken the shine off the thick, weather-resisting paint, they have to remove it with angle-grinders and wire brushes, before repainting it. Or use Nitromors (a very acidic acid which helps protect metal after destroying paint a damn sight quicker than finger sweat).

You need memorials, you need humanity, and you need goats. Apart from the longed-for hands-on Maggie Harvey touch-and-feel exhibit, I think that covers it.

All that crap in the way of his vision! Can you imagine searching for ‘the Hun in the sun’ through all that metalwork? Awful.

I Spotted one in Saving Private Ryan tonight.

Opening sequence. The veteran and his family are walking through the American Cemetery at Colleville-Sur-Mer. The impression is that they have just arrived, and that the old boy is heading straight for the grave of his one-time comrade. They are walking along the track that is on the side of the cemetery closest to the sea – towards the memorial, entrance and parking area. Question is – where did they park the car and enter the cemetery? Having been there a few times myself, I can only imagine that they’ve already had a good wander around the cemetery and are actually on the way back out again…..

    Um, i’ll get my anorak…..!

Probably the UK one. Americans seem to think that apart from the US, there’s ‘Yurp’ (London, Gay Paree and Normandee) and desert / target.

Ooops. Best I get behind my sandbags and prepare for a slagging…………

“I like to consider myself a man of simple and very few words.”

    We all consider you simple.
