No it doesn’t. ‘She’ is clearly a better accountant than you. Face lifts in Jersey are tax deductable (isn’t everything there?). She had a lot of tax to dispose of, and THAT accounts for the beard. (and those lumps on the back of her head).

Hmm. 1939-45 star is worth about a fiver, War medal is £8, £12 should get Africa / Italy Stars. Aircrew Europ is now around £120.

1914 star is £40 upwards, War Medal is perhaps a tenner, Victory maybe a fiver, and 1914/15 star around £10-15. Say £125 for a Territorial force war Medal, and I forget what the Mercantile Marine one goes for. With WW1 medals, they have the names / units engraved, and this alters the values considerably.

Last year I decided to get one of each WW1 and WW2 campaign medals, having recreated the sets of my Grandfather and Great Grandfather. Fascinating, fun, and easy. I need another (cheap) 1914 (Mons) Star to complete the set.

Loads of fakes about, especially the Aircrew Europe star, so caveat emptor.

“Snapper – you have a fantastic way with words!!”

Indeed I have. I can use my mouth in a myriad of ways that would leave Ms Subsider incredulous.

I think if she doesn’t wear pants, and she was wearing girl-clothing on her big old hips, the propwash from 4 Merlins at tree-top height would have given her severe undercarriage problems, perhaps even damaging her flaps when they flew up and smacked into the spinners.

Anyway, she wouldn’t have been troubled if she was inside baking a cake, would she? I’ll tell you what she needs. A bit of hunility and a husband. She is quite clearly frustrated.

We should write old droopyteated saggyflaps a letter telling her that, um, we, er don’t share her views.

And that she is talking out of her saggy old pants. If she complains about wartime bombers again, she should think first about the fact that some bombers were freeing birds way before she discovered she was a rug-munching horse-lookalike.

I mean of course the B24 Liberate ‘er.

    Skanky old bitch.

    Yes it is possible.

Prices vary wildly, and Jessops / Boots are good reference points. I would suggest trying them for a quote, then buying Amateur Photographer / Practical Photography magazine and checking out the advertisers – or do a websearch.

The alternative is to buy your own scanner.
