No pics of any of them. There are brief mentions in Hallidays book of all 3 – look him up on the RAFcommands forum. He’ll know more, and probably tell you.
Moggy,
Canon change the lens mounts regularly to upset the ‘after market’ people like Tamron, Sigma and so on. This means that some lenses by other manufacturers won’t work properly (or at all) with the latest Canon stuff. As such, both my trusty old 18-35 and 170-500mm lenses do not fucnction with the 10D – though they did with both the EOS 5 and the D30. Therefore, lenses and recipts of original purchase must go to Sigma, where they will rechip them for free (cost if no receipt available, I think £35). This is not under warranty, (had the lenses since 1996) but an example of splendid, and rare, customer service. And people knock Sigma? I wouldn’t imagine anyone else being so good.
Alexis is right. You can also corkscrew a Lancaster….!
Does this mean the 10D won’t work anymore? Damn! 2 days before the announcement of the 10D, Canon UK OFFICIALLY told me they hadn’t any confirmation it even existed. I had heard autumn for the next one after the 10D – but its all speculation. I road tested my 10D yesterday. I am sold (and photos are my living). 35mm is obsolete now. I saved all the scanning time I would have had, plus the waiting for the slides to be developed, and I didn’t need 5 ISO’s. 1600 was noisy though – but still better than Fuji 1600 neg film. I have, at ladt, NO DUST!!!!!!!!
A story i’d like to hear Andy. Is he still alive? Can you get hime to get it all down on paper / tape? These buggers are mostly too modest! You don’t have to recah WingCo to write!
I know of a good book by Hugh Halliday. He posts regularly here:

What do you need to know? I have a pretty good reference library. I am personally more inclined to 609 (WR) Squadron, (Moose Evans, Arty Ross, Stanley Spallin, Buck Buchanan, Jimmy Stewart, Don Inches, Charles Miller, Frederick Reahill, etc) but should have stuff in books about the others. An old family friend is ex RAF Regt, 2nd TAF and was attached to a Canadian Tiffy Squadron.
10D’s are in and out. I had to wait 3 weeks for mine – from Jessops wholesale division! Everyone is buying them. half the airshow crowd, anway!
Sparky, very good to see you – what gave me away in the crowd? The reflection off my bald head, or the only [erson dumb enough not to have returned to the car to dump his Irvin by lunchtime?! Will post a few more pix tomorrow perhaps – a bit busy today. From the first proper run with the camera, I am now hooked on Digital. Apart from Infrared and Black and white (Fun) and the times I need slidefilm, the 35mm cameras I have are redundant. My 6×9 is probably going to get sold too.
I wish they’d left it on the beach.
I didn’t see anyone for the hour I was hanging around near the Flypast tent, scotch egg in hand. Ah well.
Yup. Sven.
Then Clancy, Caputo, Delvecchio, Webb, Remarque. (No particular oder).
Coontz and Brown are pathetic trash novels (entertaining, but pulp fiction.)

Hmm. They’re not quite immaculate – I haven’t edited them yet (Unsharp mask, (Neccesity) levels etc – (though they don’t look like they need much except where I’ve screwed up).
Image size: 72dpi, 800 pixels wide, saved as a jepg compressed at around 8 ish – to get under the 100k.
Stapme. I dunno what he’s smoking, but I want some!
Hairdrier.
