    RE: Your fav. lyrics?

The best lyrical line must be Da-Do-Ron-Ron-Ron, Da-Do-Ron-Ron.

Best entire song for lyrics must be the Birdie song.

Arthur. What are you implying? That anyone with the words ‘Hellaid’ in his handle is a prick? How unkind.

RE: Do you build kits? Stick em up

I Do. next to my desk I have 4 1:48 Hasegawa Hawker Typhoons (the 4 versions) in various build stages, 4 Revell 1:32 Hawker Typhoons (1 started), a Tamiya 1:48 Mk1 Spitfire (unstarted) and a Revell 1:32 Spit Mk 1. All of these are going into 609 (WR) Squadron markings. Upstairs are 4 Tempest Mkv’s, which will be R-B, RP-B, and a couple of others (including Van Lierde’s) – they are in various stages.

Made up are around a dozen 1:32 Revell / Hasegawa fighters (and 2 uncompleted kits – Beaufighter and BF110), maybe 30 1:72 fighters, and a halfmade 1:48 Mustang. Goddamn internet disturbs me too much!!!

Gotta get me 609’ers made up. bah.

Candyman / Moose. The first real – live mustnag I ever saw. As a wee kid at Mildenhall. I had a tiny photo of it for years. Then, when I saw it again at Duxford as a grown up it was brilliant took me right back. Such a pity it is no longer with us.

Well, it will be 60 years since Johnny and Babe’s death on Friday, February 14th – Valentines day. Please take the time to spare a thought for them. I will be.

264? Thats a coincidence and a half. I was chatting to a chap I know vaguely today, who was with 264 (Meteors) during his national service.

RE: Looking for history of Hawker Hurricane V7166

That’s excellent Snoopy, thanks. Anything related to this ‘hack’ (as it was, they went from Spit I, II, and V’s to Typhoons) is all extra meat for the stew, as it were.
