Stiff Little Fingers, Stranglers, Sex Pistols and the Damned. Some others, but those are the best.

RE: What’s the gem for Flying Legends then?
Hispano’s leave me cold. Get a proper 109 up there.
The sunset walk would be superb, and great for us modellers – weathered with exhaust gases instead of pristine! And of course, as you said, the light is gorgeous.
Yes, lets see a Dakota or two (a Jump? Wow!), the Avenger thats often parked there, the two Forts together, Princess Elisabeth, Some German and Jap stuff. P38 and Mosquito. Ooh, so many things to dream about for the coming years. Or, even if it’s the same as the last few years, i’ll be happy.
No Skyraiders.
RE: Sad News; Ron Goodwin dies
I only heard of him on Sunday. The opening music to BoB was superb. Thats a pretty big footprint to leave behind.
RE: If Aces High Feezes when first using
I binned it. Has potential for sure, flies good, scenery is superb, but no fun, and couldn’t do what I wanted to do with it. Have it on CD in case I decide to try again, but not impressed. CFS2 is still the way to go, with IL2 and CFS3 in joint second place.
RE: Airshow Irritations!
Turn them upside down and give them to the council to mow the lawn.
(Except Airwolf. That was a cool helicopter. And Hueys that go wop wop wop)
RE: Airshow Enjoyment – what do you enjoy about airshows?
WW2 planes. Bookstalls. Comparing the size of my ladder.
Ok, so we all love the Spitfire. We respect the Hurricane as truly great.
BUT 6 OR 7 MUSTANGS PULLING A TIGHT HIGH-SPEED TURN AT LEGENDS, WITH THAT WHISTLE FROM THE WINGTIPS AND THE ROAR FROM THOSE MERLINS (Why doesn’t a Spit Merlin sound like that?). Astonishes me EVERY time. You won’t ever persuade me that there is a sound that beats Mustangs mixing it.
RE: What’s the gem for Flying Legends then?
Haha. Are they the muppets who did Princess Elisabeth?
RE: If Aces High Feezes when first using
So far, I don’t like it. At all. Cockpit graphics are very good, scenery is excellent, frame rates are ridiculously low, and its nowhere near IL2 / CFS1, 2, or even the illegitemate 3 in regards play. This is, however, not a full evaluation – just first thoughts.
RE: new message borad
Thats lucky. I was starting to get withdrawal symptoms. Phew.
RE: Airshow Irritations!
WTF is M,O,T,P ?
And, BTW, I do not actually own a stepladder even at home. Or a windbreak. I was kidding, honest.
I will whinge tomorrow – no time today! LOL
RE: What’s the gem for Flying Ledgends then?
Bah. Do you people only ever talk about aeroplanes?
What about on the ground? They always have a handful of veterans attending. The planes will be the same as always, because there isn’t really much else available in the UK / Europe. We’ll get a plane or 2 from the States (I’d like to see a B24 or the Casa 2111). Maybe something that has just come on the register too. Personally, I don’t wish to see anymore skyraiders. They waste sky. The Connie I don’t care for either, though like Roger, I expect we’ll see one this year.
All I want to see really is good weather and clear skies like last year, and everyone get back on the ground safely.
And a flightline that isn’t horrifically bunched up and covered in crap – unless anyone wants a flourescent orange jacket / toolbox / Tesco’s bag / canopy cover / modern fuel truck in full view when you take your pictures, having paid £3 to get not actually very close at all? Not even thinking about those bloody Cessna’s parked in the background, and the aircraft that you can’t get close too. Every year the organisers piss me off big time. then, you find a clearly viewed aircraft, and some guy comes along with a great big wad of toilet roll and begins polishing it. Hours before it will fly. And does it really slowly, leaving stuff in front of the aircraft as well so that if you can hide him from view you still get crap in the frame. Fine, I can remove most, if not all, distractions on the computer for prints or digital files. But I shoot slide film predominantly. And mainly on 120 film. So i’m just wasting my time.
