RE: VET – nothing else comes close

I’m happy with my job. I run a photolab, during which time I restore wartime pictures and type up all my archive stuff, and generally do whatever I feel like to fill the time between developing peoples 1 hour snaps. My overall boss (its in a department store) is superb, and I get no stress, no hassle, and no problems. Easy life, and a great atmosphere amongst the staff. I freelance as a photographer whenever I get a call (Weddings, editorial, travel stock). Between the two, I live ok (the lab work pays peanuts, but I’m a monkey anyway!).

I have no aspirations to be rich with all the trappings (though the rest of my family like all that. I would rather chill out). I must admit that I would like to live back to the countryside though. I have a concrete garden, and I will never be able to have a pet goat if it has nowhere to graze when it goes outside the house in the morning.

Ah yes, the Lowestoft show. I too missed the crash. I was at work half a mile away, then leaving off to go home. I did, however, get the recovery. Boy did we all enjoy that saga! I run up to the roof for the fan driven warbirds, but twenty different sets of display teams gets really tedious. The Red Arrows are the only ones everyone in town cares about. And jets. Can’t stand the things.

Legends is 12th and 13th July (and on the 14th, I shall probably unveil the memorial I’m tryoing to organise for Johnny Wiseman 100 miles down the road if any of you are planning on hanging about!). I have no idea what the program is this year, but isn’t it ALWAYS superb?

Mildenhall – I want to go again after many years as my belly really needs to indulge in hot-dogs, Polish sausages, Hamburgers, and that crappy beer for breakfast. Sod the planes – what a feast!!!!! Osama deserves a kicking for making me starve, if nothing else.

    RE: Chickens

Nonono. Say, for example, a turkey goes out, gets drunk, and gets laid by a pheasant. A short while later, Miss turkey feels a bit bloated, and POW! an egg falls out of her pants. “Hmm” says she “thats cool, think i’ll sit on that for a while” which she duly does. Shortly afterwards, she hears this chipping noise, and looks down. lo and behold, out pops a head.

“what the hell is this? Why are you in my egg?”
    “Umm, I was hiding”
    “You chicken”.

    So egg first, then chicken.

(got some gin for christmas. hehe)

RE: Turkey is a miserable nation

Turkey? Haven’t had any yet. I ate considerably well, but not English xmas dinner. Will do that in a week or two.

I had Foie Gras, as i went out with my mate Robin Banks.
