Storch delivered my daughter back in August. Or tried to. It was so damned slow, I sent Mrs Snapper up to intercept her in the Hurri, whereupon she shot down the Storch and Whipper-Snapper baled out.

(87 or 79 Sqn Hurri originally, I think 87 most likely. The chap in the hat was Bee Beamont.)

Haven’t heard of Oleg before? I suppose that figures. The habits of information exchange and restriction in Russia still come into play a lot.

    Oleg Maddox:

Made his money as a software developer I believe. Turned his attention to getting some of the Russian warbirds into peoples hands – he is the force behind the amount of people flying IL-2 Sturmoviks these days. He has all sorts of Russian and German aircraft (so far he has left the US / UK / Japanese ww2 aircraft scene to others – though he has got P39’s done, and is working on P40’s too I believe, and is building a P51 panel currently for certain.)
Oleg is very well respected by those who fly his planes, as he is always prepared to roll up his sleeves when they need patching, or bugs fixed. In fact, he seems to be incredibly accessible to all.

Thats about all I know, as I have only recently made his acquaintance.

A 262? I know he had a BF-110 coming into play shortly, but I thought that was his only new Messerschmitt project. A bit of a Kermitski Weeksovich is our Oleg.

    Probably bad scanning technique scooter.

Isn’t that the Gustav operated by Oleg Maddox in Russia? Rarely seen in the skies over here. Don’t recognise the P51 though – is that his too? I hear he has quite a stable to play with.

RE: Forum Online Flying with CFS2 or IL2

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 30-12-02 AT 07:15 PM (GMT)]Yep. I’m just re-downloading the Zone files as we speak. I shall be on shortly – I’ll change my zone name to xxxxx (my e-mail / msn messenger name is snapper35@hotmail.com). If you post your name, (if we all do that if wanting to play) I will look for you.

Edited because I reclaimed an old name on there – TallyHo609.

Thats me, so call me up if you wish. Or get me on messenger – I may try CFS3 online.

    Mark.

RE: VET – nothing else comes close

I’m happy with my job. I run a photolab, during which time I restore wartime pictures and type up all my archive stuff, and generally do whatever I feel like to fill the time between developing peoples 1 hour snaps. My overall boss (its in a department store) is superb, and I get no stress, no hassle, and no problems. Easy life, and a great atmosphere amongst the staff. I freelance as a photographer whenever I get a call (Weddings, editorial, travel stock). Between the two, I live ok (the lab work pays peanuts, but I’m a monkey anyway!).

I have no aspirations to be rich with all the trappings (though the rest of my family like all that. I would rather chill out). I must admit that I would like to live back to the countryside though. I have a concrete garden, and I will never be able to have a pet goat if it has nowhere to graze when it goes outside the house in the morning.
