Tried looking for this movie at amazon etc etc but couldn’t find a copy anywhere.

Not released? Upcoming? Not a movie?

Are we doomed to early extinction?

    Don’t forget the “parent factor”.

I came into this because of my old man. My son (if getting one) will most likely go into at least one of my interests too. If I bring him to Duxford at the age of 6-7, it will leave such a huge impact, the boy will be “scarred” for life. 😀

I don’t really have that “doom” feeling. Internet has done so much for ww2 aviation and historic aviation in terms of online flight sims like Warbirds and Aces High it’s pretty amazing. There’s this big sub-culture of those below the age of 30 following this stuff. People mail me from time to time…from Russia, Chile, Britain…and they are all interested in historic aviation. And these people are not *just* old geezers from in the 50s. :D:diablo: They’re young…some even barely 20.

WW2 comics… one I remember especially was about a Mosquito crew discovering a new German jet fighter while escorting bombers I think it was. I think they were shot down or their engines stopped so they spent some time on the ground trying to uncover the secrets of the Komet before they escaped. I was around 6-7 years old..mid 80’s. My dad read those for me on the sofa.

Another one was a story about a squadron called the “Red Dragons” and two best friends. One of them was killed and he “helped” in his “ghost Spitfire” to shoot down their common enemy..some german in a FW190. 😀

Brilliant information. 😀 You learn something new every day.

I’ve seen that torpedo picture before, but do not recall where. Damn.

The underlining text to this image says the Norwegians often did this to bring beer to the continent after D-Day and even cracks a joke about how the beer is nice and cold by the time of arrival!

Im fairly sure it’s 64 squadron. Not because I know anyone except the third person front row which is Arne Austeen, but because it fits with his service record and everything that this is indeed 64 squadron.

Found a little error in my subject of this topic. Anyone care to change it to the appropriate “placed” instead of “places”?

    Thanks!
