its a shame the new viewing park that was planned when the 2nd runway was built did not materialise, ok you would not have one as large as today with the exhibits, but the planned position was in the area of land too the south of the original runway and behind the new one, and facing terminal 1 and 3 would have offered a great selection of views

come Jan 2013 you may get the BAE Kingair from Barrow several times a day, once Filton has closed!!!!!!

i have used Filton with work ie BAE for the last 5 years, and it has been sad to see the housing estates encroaching slowly from the northwest perimeter, several of the 1940s jet engine test sheds have been domolished. Can one assume Airbbus will not be flying wings etc out in the Guppies, and that the air livery painting busness has folded too, i was aware last year of MK Airlines going bust too, they used Filton a lot.
so thats me on a 4 hour drive M6/M5 permitting, rather than a 45 minute flight!

waiting for the drop down box for selection of 1 pilot or 2
ie if you want 2 its £5 extra, if 50 passengers choose this extra you get 2 pilots!!!!!!
interim choice basic flight trained cabin crew to assist 1 pilot £2
    it may happen lol

wouldn’t it be nest for Virgin to become a full airbus airline and ditch the 747s? ok some of the first A340s are 15 years old and due for change, personally i think the A340-600 will take over the 747 routes and the A330s the smaller A340 routes. i had thought the A330 was initially bought to reduce the fuel usage on the New York routes?

has to be what was the old BMI long haul based at Man
ok i only flew once cattle class to Antigua and back, but service was excellent.
worst i guess was thomas cook last year, too many seats crammed into 757-300, one 6 foot 5 guy who had lost his return extra leg room seat to victim of the ski slopes, could not physically sit down in a normal seat!!!!
but on the brighter side, in 90 min hop from Turin to Gatwick they managed to supply us all with breakfast and drinks, just about!

nowadays the nicest part is Terminal 3, the extension toward the Pub is quite good

i think that 1-11 of courtline was Pink not lilac, but yes it would be good to see an A380 in there livery and with a full 800+ passenger load!!!!!!!

the Courtline 1-11 pastel shades used to be lovely to see, but i think the Tristars were only in yellow and orange
