ooooooh bring back the days when noice didn’t matter lol
i can remember covering my ears as a child at the Ringway viewing areas (not the viewing park, but actually on the now terminal 1 arms) when a Dan Air comet or BEA trident would take off,
    great times!!!!!

i did an aviogenex TU-134A in the 4th cockpit seat in 1972 fro Dubrovmnik to Manchester, i was 8 at the time.
something else i remember is the first 8 rows of the plane were made up of groups of 4 seats facing each other with a table like on a train.
Also Aviogenex made passengers identify their luggage on the tarmac prior to boarding, was it security?

for me it would be a trip from the past on a 707 to redo my 1976 Man-Palma flight with British Airtours, and also one 2 i never managed to get on as a child on package tours, a Britannia, and a Comet.

must be quite a risk to take
as they will need to stop 737 production soon after i comes into service, and i am sure the cost of 7?7 will be a lot more than a 787-800.
mr graphics man could you conjour up an image of a 737 with a 757 undercarrage, then they could fit any engine the like!!!!!
imagine with a 787 engine they could market it as 737-GTI

    its like chalk and cheese
you buy a P&O cruise where you spend 2 weeks in luxury on there ship
but the ship you to and from it like cattle
i really think its P&O who should be checking they are meeting there customers expectations.
My Parents have done these trips a few times, and on the ones where it starts in Accapulco, there is often a refuelling stop in the middle of the night
they spent 2 hours in Cuba airport with no facilities!

with our nimrods being scrapped, the 737 will soon be the plane on the longest production run.
i am guessing there will be replies saying nimrods are modified comets dating back to the 1950s?

its the north south divide!! MAN get all the duff aircraft
in 2002 we were on an Airtours holiday to Florida from MAN and the brochure stated a new A330 with seat back tv etc, but in reality we got an A330 they had chartered from Premier, with no seat back tv, and in our section of the plane the sound system was broken, so all you got was silent movies
same plane same fault both directions

the Fokker 50 looks strange with small windows compared to the old F27 and its viscount style, baring in mind there are probably about 12 rows of seats, its a lot of windows
