at what date in time did we move away from the Ailines actually buying their aircraft, as opposed to leasing them? 1975 maybe?

go on here’s a challenge for someone
if you put all 7000 nose to tail how far would the line stretch
be sure to account for the short length of the 100 series

flew on an Inex-Adria DC9 from Pula myself in 1973
great nostalgia shots, when you could turn up at an airport and see more than 6 types of aircraft that were easily recognisable

lets not forget also that Thomas Cook has some A330s that are ex Airours and must be at least 13 years old and used excessively

    if its anything like Virgin
when any aircrew turn up to use the flight, you get bumped from the seats you picked, because they know they are the best seats
used to happen regular to my friends on the Gatwick-Antigua run

well i hope the leg room is more than the TCook 757-300 i went on 18months back, that was awfully tight, especially for a ski flight where most people have big coats with them. On return flight the extra leg room booked by some had been given to those with obvious injuries, which meant a 6 foot 6 guy was struggling as he could not sit down in the seat he had been given!
