C’mon! The Brits are unable to run a project properly? I don’t buy that. You guys showed in the past many times your ability to manage successfully giants project.
Honestly under 2h of flight time, air transport is a non sense. It is just justified by lobbying and the lower cost of the infrastructures.
No , please read what i have writen, The British Goverment are Incapeable of runing, overseeing any major project wither it is in IT or construction.
the up and coming Olympics . are over buget, the new aircraft carriers are allready over buget and they havent even left the drawing board.
Just look back in history, its littered with great projects that have been screwed up after the Parliment get involved
Strangely enough, the last major UK infrastructure construction project headed by (or more correctly run on behalf of) the government was the Channel Tunnel Rail Link & St Pancras station – on time, under budget and it delivers what it promised!

80% over budget i think

Unable to fill Promises
and I m sure I could go on
Its a Joke,
The railnetwork in this country cant handel what it already has and any major construction project headed by the goverment never delivers the promises.
whos going to run it ? whoever is granted this High speed train licence is going to milk it for what its worth
Will be still offering free drinks and Snacks on flights less than 2 hours , just doing away with the sandwich service
It was an internal memo to cabin crew, strangely enough BA aren’t publicising the decision, it isn’t something they’d sensibly be issuing press releases for!
Its not even out on the jungle telephone,( Thats why I asked) which is strange to say the least
On the last internal flight in july LHR-GLA all that was offered was drink and a biscuit that was in the afternoon about 3pm
Could some one point me to the source of this claim please as i havent heard or seen anything officiall or elese from BA about this
Strange place to have a single doubler , has this frame been a test frame for Boeing, before Southwest bought it ?.
just looked at the picture on the BBC , very neat “tear” almost like a hatch cover poping open ,
A lot of pepole in the know mystified at the hole , not the normal fatigue looking tear , Possible skin repair/patch ???
News has it ANZ will be opposing it.
The beardy one will not be happy about that, Have heard that quite a few Airlines are in the running to object to this deal, espcailly after VS objecting to the BA-AA deal
Stab proof jacket at the ready :diablo::diablo:

In a Galaxy far far from here, wondered a lone Photographer seeking out the force , with his trusted canon 300d light sabre
At the Planet of Glasgow he came across a stranger ,who promised to show him the force and master his canon 300d light sabre ,but this wasnt to be after many years of waiting the lone photographer came across another band of Photographers ,who set about teaching him the force and to use his trusted canon 300d Light sabre.
It wasnt long before the lone photographer was getting really good with his canon light sabre and the force was growing strong,
and soon the lone photgrapher was upgrading to the canon 400d light sabre.
Meanwhile the stranger watched and wasnt happy that the lone photographer was getting on so good with his new friends and hatched a plan to discredit him he tried everything he could think of but nothing worked and this made him even more angry
One day at the Planet Glasgow International airport Crash gate three the band of photographers metup having a wonderfull time teling tales of how they used there new canon 400d sabre in anger a good time was had by all ,in the shadows the stranger looked on in anger, soon a newbie approached him ,” could you help me ” he asked ” go ask the DARKSIDE ” he Barked for all to hear and pointed to the Band of happy photographers.
On that Day Darkside Aviation was born :dev2::dev2::dev2::diablo:

A long and complicated story which i dont want to go into on the forum , nothing sinister just good fun on our part :dev2:
Someone give this man a cigar. 😀
I am reliably informed that these are indeed airframes that were originally ordered by SIA who are, by happy coincidence, a 49% shareholder in Virgin Atlantic.
A rather cosy arrangement all round, I’d say.
are you alound to smoke on this forum thougth it been banned :diablo:
I had thought that out , but is this going to be the parting present from SIA , reading the article is say SIA are looking for a partner/busines that will open up the Trans atlantic routes to them
smells like it.
How many order have they lost on 787 compared to gains ?
and remember every one of these delayed frames is now costing Boeing a lot of $
As my Grandad used to say: “If you can’t fight, wear a big hat.”
SRBs hat must have a red anti-collision light at the top of it then :D:D
