Happy Bithday Allan, 😀
Many thanks to all ,
We only decided to go to Birmingham the night before ,as we were planning to go down to The Row and see if we could manage to pick up Virgins, newest 340 G-VWKD, so the Turk was a bonus for use ,So looks like a trip to the Row next Year

Very nice picture Kev! 🙂
BHX will be getting the B773ER daily aswell as the A332 for the period July 2006 to October 2006, hopefully if loads are good it will stay. It will mean MAN, BHX and GLA will get daily B773ER’s next summer will it not?
This was the start of the scheduled B777 instead of the A330, it was delayed due to lack of aircraft casued by the strike at Boeing
Kevin
Thanks, Kevin, but I don’t think I’ll bother again at Glasgow, not that I expect to be there again soon!
However Prestwick is a different matter, it’s my second gateway into the UK!
Well if you ever do get a chance to do Glasgow , let me know And I will show you around,
That gose for anyone from the forum
Kevin 😀
GAAEC reaches the pages of The Guardian in the the article entitled …”How planespotters turned into the scourge of the CIA”

Kevin
Oh dear, now they know that it’s possible to take pictures from the top of the car park, I doubt if I’ll be able to do it again!
Still, it could be years before I get another opportunity, as I very very seldom pass through that airport.
Got some nice pictures at Prestwick the other day thanks to Ren Frew, though! Let’s keep quiet about the mound, we don’t want to lose that as well, do we!
Hi PL
In general we have grate co-operation between the authorities and the spotters at Glasgow , Last Year The Police and BAA security arranged for my self, Fredd Seggie and David Unsworth to tour the airfield and point out the Place that were advantageous to our Hobby and the locations that may cause the Authorities Problems,
The out come of this tour has meant that areas that we believed to be unaccessible have been open up for us , In The short term , I’m hopeful of even better news from Glasgow with even better news in the long term( as soon as I know I will post an update)
The Multi car-park in front of the terminal was thought at the time not have views of the runway, so was not included in the tour.
As for using it for Photography, May be worth while to give the police a quick call and let them know about you intentions ( They can be quite reasonable )
Kevin
Kevin did you find out anything from the security officer at NCP?
Hi Air band ,Sorry I’ve been rather busy have no luck in contacting the security chief at ncp, but i Will keep trying , now when I mentioned this to the Police, They did state That, if informed about persons in the car park they will attend and will investigate
Will keep trying For you
I have nothing but respect for your opinions on the matter, sensible and reasoned as ever. My view as someone who worked in the public service industry for a while, concurs with your’s.
I don’t believe the paying public will ever put up with being treated like cattle under these circumstances for very long. Yes they may pay bargain basement prices, but not always…?
Ryanair are always quick to point out just how few of their flights suffer complete cancellation in circumstances such as these, so maybe given the profitable revenues they so often trumpet, they could do something for a bunch of elderly church goers who probably didn’t realise just what exactly and who they were dealing with ?
Result…. positive PR and not another bad headline…. 😡
if you look back over the years at Ry,Im still to find any occasion that they have paid out compensation to any , until they are taken to court
This company is out to make money at any cost and sod the passengers ,And to give money away ,I think mister Olearhy(sorry about the spelling)would have a heart attack
Kevin
Thanks Kevin
Wouldn’t want to go into the carpark and then find that I get in trouble for being there or my camera equipment gets confiscated.
Officially you need to ask for permission ,but if you are taken pics of aircraft there shouldnt be any problem , as long as you don’t take pictures of the inside of the terminal and employees ( it is Privat property and is a work Place)
Im Trying to get in contact with the security officer at NCP ,hopfully should be able to get a hold of him on Wednesday
So will get back to all some time tomorrow
Kevin
I’m going down that way between 6th -9th DEC anything of interest during that 4 days
Kevin
Im lead to belive that the 767 At Mancheter should be going for it dusking in the next few months (DEC-JAN)
Kevin
Have to agree I think that its been doctored the shadows on the ground seem to be out of phase, the lamp post shadow seems to fall in a diferent direction from the aircraft,s shadow
kevin
Thanks again Papa Lima i’m sure he will forgot to ask 1 thing about the carpark though What is the likelyhood of being moved on or being in trouble by the authorities if you go up there.
I’m guessing it would be illegal to be in the car park especially if you don’t have a car.
I should be meeting the Police at Glasgow today, and I will make enquiries, but as far as I know The only place Photography is banned is in the security check in areas ,I will aslo enquire about viewing aircraft from the Multi storey carpark
Kevin
I have to agree about the press,I would like to see the papers Headlines, last year Here in Glasgow A United Airlines 777 made an emergency landing due to smoke in the main Cabin ,if you had believed the papers this aircraft started with 300 passengers and by the end had 500 all in a mid air impending disaster, just the other day a BMI 319 was quoted as being Jumbo what next doudle deck fokker
