Well at the end of the day, whatever you call it, it’s a great pity, as no doubt, it will be the owners pride and joy and I can only imagine how I’d feel if it were mine. Here’s hoping the repair work goes ok.
I have to agree, it’s quite nice to have a personalised colour scheme on a Spitfire, I also thought that the Mustangs in civilian colours were nice in the seventies and eighties. Can’t beat a bit of variation in my opinion and as they say if the person that owns the aircraft can’t choose their colour scheme it’s a poor job.
Ok, just read the aforementioned article and it hasn’t flown yet but they are fitting avionics etc and are hoping to fly it after Air Venture 2016.So that’s the latest I can find unless ther has been an update since.
