Good question ozplane, I am interested to hear how it’s going with it and also will it be flown by Martin Phillips? Considering that he has put so much into it to get it airworthy I hope that he will fly her.
Thanks ! It’s for Hind project. I send you a pm asap.
Fantastic, good luck with it, always liked Hawker Biplanes.
Hi Benoit, I’ve got a Kestrel handbook but I don’t think that it would be indepth enough as it’s not anything like an AP1416, i.e. no good for a rebuild. Incidentally are you restoring just the Kestrel or is there an airframe aswell?. Good luck, hope someone comes up with the manuals for you.
Thanks Bruce.
Just had a look on the SAAF museum sight and answered my own question. The Spitfire is being restored to airworthy.:)
Indeed, it could be one of two, but it isn’t a MkIV!
I only went by what was in the article, thanks for clarifying that Bruce
Andy the Mosquito is a B IV Bomber version DZ542. Re the Spitfire rebuild, that “book” is a couple of years old now and things may have changed since it was published.
Anybody know?
That’s great, thanks for posting Ant.H. I went to a talk given by the one brother at Shobdon LAA strut evening and he gave a very interesting talk about it and slide show.
Got it at last through google chrome, lovely. Thanks for the link MikeJ
Thanks Matthias, I can see why you like the Corsair, it looks really good black.
Tried it a couple of times and it comes up video unavailable:apologetic:
Thanks John for your quick reply, much appreciated.
Well there’s always a market for another Spitfire book Paul1867, lets hope it was a premonition.:)
Not that I know of.:apologetic: Thank you for pointing out my error Sopwith which I have corrected, I shouldn’t post so late at night!:apologetic:
I did, of course, mean P9374 the plane that is being auctioned.
But, hey, maybe it was a premonition.
Is an autographed copy of THE book going to come with N3200 at the auction?
Is there a book on N3200 now?
