What a shame, I’ll bet he’s heartbroken.
Well I for one am very sorry that Mark 12 is not on here anymore, and oldgit158 made a good statement above which I totally agree with. I do hope that he returns soon as he is a wealth of information. Further to the Burma job, it’s reported in another quality mag that there is another dig coming off next January, so we will have to wait and see.
Sorry to hear this, a great loss indeed.
Sat and Sun 10-4
Great thank you I shall pop down soon.
Just bumping this thread as the identity of the Spitfire in question intrigues me. I was hoping that Mark 12 would be around to elucidate but he does not seem to have been active lately?
Yes I wonder that he hasn’t put a reply in about this one.(bumping thread again)
What are the opening times please?
Beautiful aeroplane and the MB3 looked right too.
acrobatics ? !
A lot of people refer to aerobatics as acrobatics, we all know what he means, give the guy a break, it’s his first post.
Thanks Fournier Boy and DazDaMan, much appreciated.
Well I can honestly say to those of you still waiting, when it arrives you will not be disappointed. Mine arrived last week and I’m very pleased with it.
Thanks Sopwith – I’ll put you down for a copy 😉
Yes sounds good, I’ll have one.
Sounds interesting Jonathan, good luck with it and let us know how you get on. I for one would be interested to read it. Only sorry that I have no information to help.
It’s all very cute, and I understand that it’s an in-joke to which I am not privy, but what is the title of “the boo…”? I’d like to buy one, but Amazon doesn’t recognize the title The Boo.
Hi Stepwilk, it’s “Spitfire Survivors” Vol 2. We are eagerly awaiting it.
Sorry to ask, anyone received theirs yet? Mine hasn’t arrived yet and it was ordered the day orders were first taken (15th June).
There is also the book on the restoration of Brendan Deere’s Spitfire in New Zealand, I can also think of an American book about the restoration of a couple of P38 Lightnings. can’t remember the proper title though, sorry.
