    Yes I think that sounds like a good idea.Obscure gen is usually interesting for someone.Look forward to what everyone else thinks.

    The plot thickens,but it is very interesting.So what happened to AB871 then after Bridgenorth.Was it scrapped?,as I don`t believe this one is still around is it?.

    Have you tried LAS.They used to do it,but it`s a while since I bought any so can`t be 100% sure.

    Thanks Mark 12.thats some confusion sorted .I had been told it was a Hurricane, no wonder I couldn`t trace it. While we are on the subject,was that the Vampire that Hereford ATC had afterwards?

    Thank you all very much for your posts.It`s nice to know what happened to it,and thanks Andywis for saying where I`d seen the article,and your kind offer ,much appreciated .I must have got the mag somewhere still ,as I never throw any away and now I will be able to dig it out and re-read.

    Funny that you have posted a thread on the Hawk 75a.I have just finished reading an article about them in a 1970 issue of Air Classics.I have always liked them ,they just look right somehow.In the article it states that Farnborough tested a French Hawk against a Mk1 Spitfire and in maneouverability it could out turn the Spit,which quite surprised me.You learn something everyday.
