And remember the PLAAF never wanted this aircraft, it never asked for it and there is no role for it to fill. The J-10 is replacing everything while the only thing left to replace is the Q-5 at CAS, but something like the L-15 in the future should be suitable enough.

Wrong. PLAAF never said it was going to replace every lower then 3’rd gen fighterjet with j10. Let alone think about higher costs and less diversity. And they pumped atleast 150 million usd in the project to let you tell that it is not going to be bought? Please do provide me more info how you come to these conclusions mr Srbin.

The advantage for conformal is more empty wingstations? I don’t think they are replacing wing tanks… I thing they are extra add on range for deep strike…

The dis-advantage is not able to release it when starting a2a…

Sofar only the Rafale has been fitted with these while not operational. I think it is a matter of time that the option will become available… But with CFT you have to take more weight while on the ground… Why not using IFR?

To replace what? (J6, J7) With J11, MKI, J10 the higher/medium part is filled. There are not many lower replacements. But 1000?

    Arrrg, looks awfull! 😮 😡

Now that the F/A-18E/F has lost its reduced stealthness, why not put on wing fences, which also fuction as overwing missille lanchers like Jaguar or Lightning?! 😉

    fightingirish

Seems like the F18E/F wing going to have same solutions as the FBC-1…

I have used two different TFT screens and still no smoke. Anyway. Even if there was some then it is not the same as what we have seen on Phantoms or Fulcrums… Nice pics. Unfortunately there is a lot of light otherwise we wouls seen pretty nice pics. What suprises me is that the Fc1 has still no wing fuel tanks… It isn’t a big plane so I would have expected them by this time. I have seen the tanks on a movie about the fc1. The were tested on the wings with variable AOA.

Something more I was pondering about… The Fc1 has wingtip rails… We have seen IR missiles like AIM9 or Magic hanging on it. Will it be able to fit SD10 on that rail?

Well one wonders of Iran is a greater threat than Dr.Khan and his clients for example…

As usual the anti pak comment. Mr Khan is maybe a national hero. Maybe he as contributed in producing enriched uranium. He did just that. The true heroes are sectret and will stay that. There are many other world parties that did more harm then mr Khan. So why pointing at him only… One should remember a very famous sentence of mr Khan… He told how greed made western companies sell anything. They would even sell their mother. In that respect one can say… If mr Khan is attacked. Why not attack those western countries that delivered the goodies… But then again. The cheap defence is that Pakistani exploded Chinees nuclear device… They use foreign missiles… I have read a lot about mr Khan. I think you are terrible wrong Fantasma… I laugh at western ideas. One moment Khadaffi is world terrorist and bio-chemical-nuclear dangerous… The other moment the shake hands on tv… Fantasmatic.

Just tell me Acig member… What do you know about Khan that leads to your conclusions? What would you call him if Turkey was 5 times bigger then Greece. Build atomic weapons and exploded them. It was not signing any treaty. It massed all the troops at your door. Fun. The rules suddenly change.

Pretty old article. After that the LCA and its engine faced a bit more critic. With Indian participating in PAKFA and maybe buying 125 foreign planes… What is the chance that these plans of MCA go on? Thanks.

Indian forum opposes F-16 sale to Pakistan

    Daily Times Monitor

LAHORE: An Indian forum in the United States opposed any move to sell F-16 fighter aircraft to Pakistan after the presidential elections in November, Press Trust of India (PTI) reported on Friday.

According to the news report, the Indian American Forum for Political Education, in a letter to US President George W Bush, said any such move would be “severely detrimental to the strengthening of Indo-US relations, which has touched an all-time high following efforts by the Bush administration”.

PTI quoted IAFPE president Sudhir Parikh as saying, “Supplying sophisticated fighter aircraft to Pakistan will only stoke the flames of arms race in this region”. [As if India is left behind… It is India that started nuclear tests and still not signs treaty. It is India that bought AWACS. It is India that buy MKI and some 125 more fighters… etc. etc. Somehow I find these one sided remarks of the lobby a bit pathetic]

The letter, however, clarified that the forum was not against economic aid to Pakistan for literacy and other development programmes, the news report said.

According to PTI, Parikh said in the letter that while the IAFPE had supported Bush’s bid for a second term at the White House, “reports of F-16 deliveries to Pakistan would make several members reconsider their endorsement.” He added that the proposed F-16 deliveries would also send a “negative message” to Indians throughout the United States and elsewhere.

What a jocular discussion among some wishful thinkers? Being very pro one side is sounding more like a joke to me. It reminds me someone that was talking about cruise missile flying 150 km at a few meters above sea… Need I have to add that he thought the speed was mach 2.8? I am not aware of those details but I know that there are a few posters deleted cause they kept on posting flames. If we cannot communicate on a normal level then I rather stop talking about it. Let those posters think and dream about being superior.

Ok, GD. I agree. But there were rumours of first prototype in Pak. Anyway, those that see smoke should buy a new screen…

About the size… Wow. It is small…

    Arshad,
Let us not bother with these errors. In the past Indian lost more aircraft then they shot down. I doubt there will be another war with only one party losing the war.
    Cheers.
