rafale?
Flamy attitude stinks. Just stick to the topic.
fc1 cockpit at the moment…
Is it a link16 level or more advanced like Gripen… It is surely not the communication of JSF… 🙂
well, we could miss subjective reactions. Specially neagative ones.
About the interview. Still not very clear what exact to expect but most of the things are well known on this forum
Well, there are sometimes 5 chinese topics on the top. Sometimes US… Sometimes Indian… Sometimes Pakistani… I don’t care hypes but atleast it is more divers then the allways UK/US/Israeili topics in the magazine. No one complaint about that.
light and shadows are correct.
The JSF is only a handy plane when it is acting as a wolfpack. And the advantage compared to other planes is the fact that the pilot becomes an manager of the battlefield rather a pilot. Just imagine a huge TFT screen where the pilot can ask info and send info. The plane flies almost automatic.
Sofar I know the plane has been pretty automatic in landing on carriers. One secret… The carrier has a GPS system that allows the JSF to fly into the grid and hoover fully automatic and land very accurate without any action form the pilot. Even with wind effects and carrier doing very dangerous movings. Compare that to any other plane…
So are the Dutch companies…
The fact that labour does matter is shown by MKI being produced in India… That reduces the price clearly. Why fc1 being an exception…
I think that the arms market will be divided in two sections. The rich with the expensive and high tech tools and the modest and poor with the less expensice tools. The western aircraft like Mirage 2000, Rafale, Ef2000, Gripen and T50 are not very much an option for african and asian nations. That is why planes like Fc1 or maybe LCA will definately see some options to become successes. We here tend to compare the F22 with the Fc1… Sure there are huge differences but if we start looking at the market then we ought to understand that there are more poor nations then rich ones… One doesn’t replace an african outdated mig with a Gripen or F35…
Gripen with loads of BVR… Banking right… Sun at 7 o’clock…
Replacing the central fuselage? 🙂
What it the rest…
It’s really sad to see, that this kind of a plane, that obviously has good aerodynamics, get’s a cockpit with technology of 30 years ago.
I hope it’s not the cockpit the serial production model will have.
An FC-1 with good avionics would be a superb plane.
Erez, the cockpit is not in the picture yet. Pakistani former ACM had requested to get it in the air asap and then look at the avionics. At that time the avionics were coming a major headache. Pakistan had becom kind of paria. That was the actual moment that they decided to make it a plug and play plane. The next prorotype will have avionics versions. Just see it as EF2000 pic in last edition of the AFM. You see there a pic with conventional avionics combined with digital. It is just to test the digital ones. Here they are not even started with avionics. It is pretty sure that they will be comparable with the average MFD fitted planes.
One thing that strikes me is the bubble canopy. Is it that difficult to change that? And besides that the F35 has allso not that perfect 360 view. Let us even forget Mirage m2k-9. So why adding huge drag if it is special for BVR?
Cheers.
O… I am honoured that I am mentionned by GD. Yep. Those tailwings did some strange movements and I tried it to explain it with some pics. I still think that it will be increased in size.
Looks gooooooooooooooooooooooooooood!!!
This baby in a close up pic…
