Arthur,
Good questioning. Do not feel insulted. I like your style of questioning but do understand that is tough to reach that level with answers. But it is not my favourite country and I am one the thoughest (thanks to my Dutch education) poster when it comes to evidence. There are no lines on the border but looking at the style of attacks (bigger multi level ground attacks) it shows that they had only the intention to decrease potential danger on the border. If they wanted to erase Pakistan then toy would have used more ground forces. We have seen that speciual commando’s were active inside Pakistan so they could do it more and bigger. And the fighter escorts would have been much more a2a oriented.
On the other side only a logic plan and full scale wars are fought by US (money and equipment). Pakistan and India were not active against non military targets (superb mentallity on both sides- deep respect). And their air attacks were much sober compare to attack shows like our mobiele brigades likes to show.
Cheers.
Pakistan never threatened. It was Fernandes that wanted to nuke China and Pakistan. And that is an Indian. Let us keep that strict. Or do we have to remind you that it is not BR or any other cheap propoganda forum. Do give me evidence next time otherwise I see your remarks as a lot of noise and no value.
About daring to threat… That sounds so stupid. Nukes are not toys. From a nation that is big and wanting to be important I see that as a cheap statement from its citizen.
Sharm. Leave that inferioruty part. Some things are totally out of the context and ironically not as worse as some comments about Pakistan and its forces. Do get used to the fact that we all love aviation and sometimes it gets tough. If you like crying then keep that personal.
Arthur. I do understand your question. We all know from even recent reports that it is hard to say where Afghanistan starts and Pakistan ends. US bombs have fallen inside Pakistan and some of you do not know that some parts are still disputed between Afghanistan and Pakistan. So for a fighterjet flying fast and high one is risking a lot when flying on the border. I doubt that fighterjets take that risk under normal conditions, We all know how cold war and berlin routes were used and how strict it was when some planes left small corridors. On the orher hand a mig23 landed on a house in the Netherlands so accidewnts do happen… The mujhahideen were located in Pakistan and supply routes started inside pakistani terrirory. Do I have to give you pictures or do you accept simple logic about the fact that Russian jets did strike Pakistani positions? In ACIG report is is all about Russian jets attacking Pakistan and being shot down inside Pakistan. The parts under display are not bought on the black Afghanistan market… PAF planes were never inside Afghanistan.
We have seen several movies and pictures were US soldiers eradicate people that are not clearly identified. We have seen several movies and pictures where US soldiers kill in anger and purely for destruction and sometimes joy. What makes them better then Milosovich? Do understand that not all soldiers are wrong but there are some that do it with joy. Just remember the CNN seport about Iraki soldier being finished off during clear daylight and running camera’s. I do not hear any complaints cause it is not a white person and just an arab.

Google,There is no such thing as a “Shaheen”
You have Shaheen-1 which was “tested” in 2002
You have a Shaheen-II which was displayed in 2000 as a mock up and another “Shaheen-II” which was “tested” yesterday.
Pakistan has also changed the namings of missiles from time to time just to confuse people.
Experts may disagree on which Pakistani missile is based on which Chinese/Korean missile, but the overall fact is that all experts agree that Pakistan’s missile tech is 100% imported with local work being assembly, painting and naming only. Nothing more.
O… You have been watching the painters? Please stay out of decent topics.
Arthur,
Quality media reports (objective) are hard to find but there is some truth in these copies. I was not there and did my best to find some data. I do add that situation was difficult and using ground control and new weapons system was not an advantage in the beginning. Hell, the PAF pilots did not even used the correct parameters of the AIM9. But things improved and they scored. Objective of the Russians were clear. They came inside Pakistan with bombing in their mind. And some targets were hit not only once. Maybe that is why PAF can say what the targets are. They were totally not intrested in the average Pakistani town or village… That is obvious. Being superior? Not bad but who are we to judge that good. They did not lose much against the Russians. But how often did they fail… That is also an important question.
Alsjeblieft.
All I heard that the guidance system is developed by an Pakistani that has been educated in the US. Well… That has been posted around but we can’t confirm it 100%. Load or other parameters will stay secret just like any other long range missile of India or the US. It is the first two stage solid rocket (produced and) fired in Pakistan. It means that more stages could be added and solid fuel is produced and engines are alterated not for the first time. Less reaction time… But Looking at the only target I see less reaction time as one of the dangers. Let us hope that it will never be used.
Please friends… You actaully think that both nations are busy re-nventing the wheel. They did copy and they did add. Why point at eachother when we all know how black markets work and how things become better… Look how Japan became super producer… Not by inventing. And software houses of India are no invented. They are copied and just improved some or part of cheaper labour. So.. .Fas or no Fas… M11 is probably improved and atleast some parts are Pakistani. Just like Brahmos may be called Indian but we all know the base… Cheers.
IAF will grow extremely. That is clear. But getting Hawks? I find it like Pakistan buying F7P. A bit late an dwith some more cash… But anyway. You are correct on getting something fast. It should have been decided yesterday but unfortunately democracy can have negative impact on decision making. Nothing wrong with that but IAF should have bought it yesterday.
I don’t think PAF is willing to take that risk cause Israel is not very amusing. I do not want to talk about middle east politics cause it is non related to this. About KSA… Well Pakistan armed forces are for rent and it is handy to get cash and oil for defending islamic holy cities. And that is not something shocking cause PAF have been serving in almost every arabic airforce and did some actual fighting against IDAF. But sugesting nukes and missiles in correlation with Israel… That is a bit extreme my friend. Their are sudden laws you know… And we all know what happened to Irac… That was not even nukes or WMD sofar…
Cheers.
Well to be honest… I am fan of the Dutch airforce. But telling that they are the best? I have no idea. I just posted mig21 upg (IAF) and F7PG (PAF) cause both look nice. Still I got flamed. Unbelievable. They both are intresting airforces but it is not up to me to make one better then the other and we frankly all are to stupid to tell which is better! Cheers mate.
Well I fully agree with you then. Sorry. I am just fan of both sides and can’r stand bashing. Oeps.
Being able to produce LCA and assemle MKI I see another option like making of the first Indian Advanced Trainer.
What is next Flex…? I just imagined the pics and stories…? O boy. IAF… PAF… There is no need to compare them over and over again. Both exist and are very intresting to talk about. Except it is the personal bashing of pro IAF believers. And that leaves the objectivity part extremely far behind. I have been telling over and over again posively stories about IAF… And still am getting flamed. Why don’t you try to look at how your friends hehave? Cheers.
I doubt that Pakistan is intrested in anything more then India. Israel is not in the direct neighbourhood. Or see it like India telling the world that they buy weapons not for Pakistan but for China. Except this is a bit different.:D
