Hi we were only hit by one big shower mid morning. Everybody taking shelter under the nearest wing! I would say the whole event was 2/3rds down on previous years.
As for RHP yes it did turn up.
This thread seems to have died a quick death? I just guess not many of us have been about much? I haven’t as I have a new girlfriend, never helps the spotting!!

Sorry I missed this one, the BAP is the business aircraft park, only open
Monday-Wednesday, all the aircraft there will depart on Thursday,if not before. Check out my website for a more accurate list of whats going to be there. The SBAC are not that hot on putting stuff on their site
airshow list
If anybody has anymore questions please fire away. I will post some photos from arrivals week on here as well as my site.
How about a Kings Flight Viking?
Great pics but what aircraft is that behind the Pitts? Looks like a DC6 or something similar?? Love the Beech 18, one of my fave aircraft. Is that the only Yak 55 in Iceland? There are a few in the UK, but the 52 has been much more popular. I guess it never gets dark this time of year in TF land? Still light until around 22:30 in parts of the uk at the moment.
The last of the Empire boats is a story of so close but so far from preservation.
On retiremant from the Poole-Athens-Cairo BOAC service in 1947 it was flown to Rochester and was owned by F.J. Cork and later Buchan Marine Services. It was moored outside the old Shorts works and kept servicable. The plan was to use her on flying boat cruises. But in October 1953 it was sold to F.C. Bettison and was towed to the Aquilla base at Hamble for overhall. Sadly this ended in a storm in May 1954 when it was sunk at Harty Ferry on the Hamble.
Personally you can keep all your warbirds I want this aircraft above all to be raised 🙁 .
I beleive the marks set out in 1919 were based on the then international shipping morse radio callsigns? The first ones were issued 1919 and then in 1929 another conference almost rewrote the system.
Personally the worst is Birdgetown,Barbados, but in that part of the world it is a good terminal. Its just when you get the contents of a Virgin 747 and a BA777 trying to get through immigration with 3 desks open and its 30oC inside and the aircon is not working!
In europe worst LHR T1, best AMS. Love AMS because airside you can see so much and get great photos. And landise has some great shops and a great viewing deck! 🙂
I do have some of N8WJ ex CP-573 at Fort Lauderdale in 1990 just after it arrived still in full Bolivian scheme. But sadly they are at my parents, may get the chance to post one at the weekend.
Many moons ago Wardair used a 727 across the pond in the 60’s!
Air Mauritanie use 737-7 on flights to CDG via Las palmas(?), thats quite a long haul.
I doubt even the cockpit would be much good. I remember going into the cockpit back in 1998 and it was in hell of a state with lots missing and I doubt if it has improved since then? A sad sight.
Some more from me noted at Farnborough. Which is very busy with visitors for the Royal Ascot horse races.
