The saga of my ISP ended on 29th June. I wrote a letter to the ISP (couldn’t do anything on-line with them, it had to be by letter or phone (hahaha)) telling them that as I had spent three weeks unsuccessfully trying to contact them about my new details, they could stick their access package and I was transferring to another provider with immediate effect. On 30th June, I logged on to Virgin.net and went through their process, after they said they accepted direct debit. Imagine how bloody mad I was to get to the last stage only to be told that I would have to pay for the first month’s access immediately by credit card!!!!! The only reason I want direct debit is because I do not have a bloody credit card!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Back to the drawing board, in desperation I tried Freeserve. They accepted me, and I signed up for Any Time. That was the day the forum got hacked, so I couldn’t get the full benefit of 24 hour access!!! On 2nd July I got a phone call from my old ISP offering to sort out the problems I had been having, but I told them it was too late and they had lost my custom.

Great Mr. Webmaster,I have to admit though.. it’s been hell being without it for 4 days! The Internet has been so boring.
Thanks though, it’s great to have this wonderful facility back again. 🙂
My feelings exactly T5, I’ve missed these forums more than I thought, surfing the net just has not been the same these past few days.
Apparently, it was a good day, about 2000 turned out to see Richard Branson pilot the replica glider about 8 feet off the ground. Then there was a display by the Red Arrows and the VS 747 flypast. I was truly disappointed to miss it, especially as I was travelling to work on the same bus (Scarborough to Pickering) that the people going to see the show were on, I really envied them!!! That’s the problem with being rota-ed on to do Saturdays in a museum.
Great photo Andrew:)
I don’t have any VLM photos which are even worth scanning, never mind entering in a competition. Last year when I was in LCY’s departure lounge, there were loads of VLM aircraft parked nearby, and just as I pressed the shutter on my camera, it jammed. The photo did come out, but it’s really awful.
A thousand thank yous Ren Frew!!!! That is my holiday aircraft from last year!!! I flew from London City to Brussels and back in that very aircraft, brilliant flights, brilliant airline. I love that photo by the way:)
Brilliant!!!
Enjoy yourself T5:)
I won’t be installing anything for a while, got FS2002 before I got my computer and it’s still sitting in the box, I need a memory upgrade, a graphics card and stuff before I install anything else, I won’t be tempted to treat my computer as a games machine, I have a Playstation 2 for that.

Hand – when I check the connections and stuff it says “LAN settings do not apply to dial up connections” (mine is a dial up connection), and I don’t know what the proxy thing relates to (sorry).

Thanks hand, I’ll have a look at what you suggested, but don’t be too surprised if I end up asking something else (the manuals I’ve got for XP can be so damned useless!!)
